One of the Hapsburgs was of the Order of the Golden Fleece which started as an order which protected the Catholic Church and based on Legends of Jason and the argonauts etc
The Golden Fleece or Lambskin apron represented the Sun/ Son God of Ares, Aries rising which is Noon around Winter solstice and then rising with the sun at Easters resurrection. All based on Heroes Journey and the Sun/ Son of Gods resurrection in the Davidic Lineage

If we read the current events now.... we can see the group still networks.

I will make another thread about this current event and BIND the information with this thread.

That Missing $450 Million Da Vinci Painting Is Reportedly on Saudi Crown Prince MBS' Yacht
https://time.com/5604018/missing-da-vinc...mbs-yacht/

Leonardo da Vinci's Salvator Mundi may have been painted for Louis XII of France and his consort, Anne of Brittany. It was probably commissioned around 1500, shortly after Louis conquered the Duchy of Milan and took control of Genoa in the Second Italian War.

The painting was included in an inventory of the Royal Collection, valued at £30, and Charles' possessions were put up for sale under the English Commonwealth.

The painting was sold to a creditor in 1651, returned to Charles II after the English Restoration in 1660, and included in an inventory of Charles' possessions at the Palace of Whitehall in 1666. It was inherited by James II, and may have remained with him until it passed to his mistress Catherine Sedley, whose illegitimate daughter with James became the third wife of John Sheffield, Duke of Buckingham.

The duke's illegitimate son, Sir Charles Herbert Sheffield, auctioned the painting in 1763 along with other artworks from Buckingham House when the building was sold to George III.

Yes, I'm posting this again.

King Abdullah received a number of international high orders. Most notably, he was an honoured knight of the strictly Roman Catholic Order of the Golden Fleece (the Spanish branch), which caused some controversy.

The White House confirmed Duke Buchan III, a hedge fund manager and early donor to the Trump campaign, as the US ambassador to Spain and Andorra.

Buchan, 54, who studied in Valencia and Seville, speaks Catalan as well as Spanish and is the founder of Hunter Global Investors. The firm is based in Palm Beach, where Trump’s Mar-a-Lago mansion is located.

10 Crazy Facts About Europe’s Bizarre Habsburg Rulers

In short, this great dynasty shaped not just modern Europe, but the history of the entire world. Oh, and they did it all while being certifiably insane.

Quote:The Entire Family Was Hopelessly Inbred

The Habsburgs lived in a Europe where royal possession was decided by inheritance. If one of their number married into a new family, they might wind up having to split their insanely vast territory with another group of royals. Their simple solution for this was to inbreed like mad.

Leopold I, for example, married his own niece, Margaret Theresa of Spain, and insisted that she call him “uncle” while being intimate. It was common for Habsburgs to shack up with cousins or aunts, and marrying outside the family was frowned on.

Predictably, this did not end well. The line of the dynasty that ruled Imperial Spain and its colonies in the New World came to an abrupt end when Carlos II turned out to be a genetic basket case. Physically disabled, mentally impaired, and infertile, Carlos died childless in 1700. Habsburg rule of Spain expired with him.

Quote:The Entire Family Was Hopelessly Deformed

The dangers of inbreeding go beyond madness and infertility. In a family as hopelessly twisted as the Habsburgs, it can manifest itself physically. From paintings, it’s clear that the entire family was woefully, freakishly deformed.

This deformity came in the form of the dreaded “Habsburg Jaw.” Family members all tended to have a hugely pronounced underbite and chins that looked like aircraft landing strips. Charles V had the jaw so bad that he couldn’t eat in public. If Leopold I was outside when it rained, his mouth would fill with water. Carlos II was physically incapable of either speaking or eating solid food.

As Simon Winder pointed out in Danubia, the Habsburg men could at least grow beards to hide their prominent chins. The women were doomed to forever have their deformities on display.

Pardon me adding these two excerpts from Ludikrus post..

The Royal branches through history have had many of their relatives incarcerated, hidden away from public view.

The Queen's hidden cousins: They were banished to an asylum in 1941 and left neglected now an intriguing documentary reveals all

The date was 29 July, 1981, Prince Charles and Lady Di’s wedding day, and as the Queen arrived at St Paul’s Cathedral and waved to the crowds, two women in late middle-age, in shapeless, baggy dresses, shuffled with clumsy gait up to the television and waved and saluted back to her, unable to articulate speech but making excited noises.

It was a poignant moment, recalls Onelle Braithwaite, one of the nurses who cared for them. ‘I remember pondering with my colleague how, if things had been different, they would surely have been guests at the wedding.’

The two women were Nerissa and Katherine Bowes-Lyon – nieces of the Queen Mother and first cousins to the Queen – who had been incarcerated since 1941 in the Royal Earlswood Asylum for Mental Defectives, at Redhill in Surrey.

Am glad this was pinned otherwise might not have seen this excellent thread, enjoyed reading through it very much. My curiosity delves deeply into these families and the cast iron hold they have over all of us. Their genetic defects from centuries of inbreeding giving rise to insane individuals, whom I believe run the institutions spread all over this world. Am curious to know what kind of world would we have, had these families through history vanished of the face of the earth a long time ago.

That is sort of scary true, I have Friends that are rich but low peasants in regard of what is rich and while I admire their extreme fire or will to stay rich, I also would dread if in their shoes since always in envy!

Especially 1 Friend is so hard working it is suicidal almost, just to be part of the posh elite He never will reach in this life ha ha.

Even if grew up with servants He love to get down and dirty even in Farming and at core loves a rough life.

This posh minds can smell just after a short chit chat chuckle

Austrian Habsburg Monarchy must not be confused with the House of Habsburg, existing since the 11th century, whose vast domains were split up in 1521 between this "junior" Austrian branch and the "senior" Spanish branch. The Habsburg Empire had the advantage of size, but multiple disadvantages. There were rivals on four sides, its finances were unstable, the population was fragmented into multiple ethnicities, and its industrial base was thin. Its naval resources were so minimal that it did not attempt to build an overseas empire.

The House of Habsburg (/ˈhæpsbɜːrɡ/; German: [ˈhaːpsbʊɐ̯k]; traditionally spelled Hapsburg in English became extinct in the 18th century.

link to image: https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/c...troehl.jpg

The senior Spanish branch ended upon the death of Charles II of Spain in 1700 and was replaced by the House of Bourbon.

The remaining Austrian branch became extinct in the male line in 1740 with the death of Holy Roman Emperor Charles VI, and completely in 1780 with the death of his eldest daughter Maria Theresa of Austria. It was succeeded by the Vaudémont branch of the House of Lorraine, descendants of Maria Theresa's marriage to Francis III, Duke of Lorraine.

The new successor house styled itself formally as the House of Habsburg-Lorraine (German: Habsburg-Lothringen), and because it was often confusingly still referred to as the House of Habsburg, historians use the unofficial appellation of the Habsburg Monarchy for the countries and provinces that were ruled by the junior Austrian branch of the House of Habsburg between 1521 and 1780 and then by the successor branch of Habsburg-Lorraine until 1918.

The Lorraine branch continues to exist to this day and its members use the Habsburg name.

All I see is red and blue claiming golden supremacy? The Lion gets to have all three colors of nail polish? Wtf? Why don't the dragon have these? If it wasn't extinct, a discrimination suit would be ripe for the PICKENS! :)

Fascinating thread.

I actually know someone with a "hapsberg jaw."
Teeth problems but otherwise very bright and very sane.
Family intermarries, but still have problems from generations when they must not have done so.

I also knew a real hapsberg, a young one.
Hapsberg bosom, porcelain skin, blue-green eyes, strawberry blonde.
Family still connected, but not as powerful. Woo factor, so bloodline.
They also have intermarried, but don't feel good about it atall.
