Why isn't champagne sold in cans?

Wine is nothing special. It's almost impossible to make it incorrectly unless you are using something besides grapes.

Wine was invented centuries before beer...

The acidity would negatively interact with any metals or plastics the can is lined with.

Concentrated grape juice is sometimes sold in cans, no less acidic than ethanol

Boxed wine is in plastic. Never had it, but it probably tastes like schiff just like the bottled hooch.

It's not bad. Cheap wine tastes better than cheap beer.

I think aluminum cans should be outlawed. Alzheimer's - Aluminum. Why so many aluminum choices in the beverage industry, and glass more expensive since they killed the recycled-to-store model in so many places that was prevalent back in the 60's? Recycling glass takes an extra trip to another recycling facility in my town. Beer. Aluminum. Cokes, same. Just another corporate, tax-sheltered drop in the human frailty bucket of Slow Kill.

Because the producers of Champagne don't want to put their produce into cans, it would undermine the value they want you to place in it... however you can buy sparkling wine in cans...

Can you be classy gulping sparkling wine from a can on a bus or tube train... nah I don't think we will ever see Champagne in a humble can...
