I don't think today's glued in windshield an be punched out. One should carry an automatic center punch.

Automatic Center Punch Strikes Surface w/o Hammer Spring Loaded Window Breaker. On Ebay or Harbor Freight, would be cheapest.

This is how lots of car break-ins are done, smashing the passenger window with that punch. Back in the 70s a VW Rabbit rear hatch glass was removed in minutes as they took money from the ash-tray. It took me longer to re-install it. lol
