Oh Im sorry. I just realized that Im only 48 year old. in 1976 I was only 5 year old. The one stolen from me was a 1976 Ford Mustang. They looked similar. So I accused you of stealing. Sorry about that.

The question isn't how old you are. The question is, 'what planet are you from'?

Because you totally come across like an alien trying to blend in as a normal person, but failing horribly at it.

A 1960s muscle car used to be cool 20 years ago, and women do want to sit in it. Nowadays? No. No women want to hop inside a muscle car. They rather see you drive a modern and clean Toyota or Benz.

Any car can be cool to anyone for any reason, if a woman needs to be scene in a cool car these days then she will own one herself.

I own many vehicles, and depending what I am doing I choose the vehicle that best suits the situation. If the woman you are trying to impress only needs to see your car and you worry she might think less of you, you got bigger issues than your hoopty, chuckle

Its the insurance I hate to pay. I don't drive much. and I have a classic car in the garage that parked for 4 years because I don't want to pay insurance for it anymore. If I am not required to buy insurance, then maybe I will consider buying classic cars. I

So you want to drive a car without insurance?

I have a normal car, a 1998 Toyota Camry. I drive that to supermarket. See I work from home. So I already drive very little. Insurance for another car will cost me around $800 a year. Why not spend that $800 on food? Even if I do insure my classic car, I drive it like once every 2 weeks? Not worth it.

affects people psychologically, other
than that I couldn't care less about it.

For this reason alone, I have to go with gut.

Classic cars made of METAL do last usually. Look at the old VW bug. New cars and products, unfortunately aren't made to last.

we have a load of car races down to my home town, the oldest ongoing on started in the 1890s and the newest car they allow in their race can't have been made after 1905.. amazing to watch though generally you have to be a millionair+ to be able to run a 100+ year old car on a 50+ mile race.. in the 1890s there where only 30 cars in the race, in the 1960s that rose to 260 and now it is somewhere in the region of 500...

Others like the mini races are fun where you have thousands of minis doing the 50+ mile journey... very community like spirit and fun atmosphere... and the roads lined where cheering people... there is even a classic commercial vehicle race with buses, fire engines, cranes and trucks... which I tend to like the most... just fascinating looking at all the old designs..

Seeing hundreds of steam powered vehicles making 50 mile run after nearly a century is pretty amazing when you think how long vehicles last today..

its about 60 dollars a year for classic insurance for a vehicle that is driven less than a 100 miles per year, or in parades, ect.

You dont insure the Value of a classic if you store it in the garage, and you dont worry about it.

Its paid off, if someone values it at 50k, then you can still insure it for 5k or 1k, nobody is forcing you to do anything, unless you want to keep it registered and street legal.

If you worry about spending 50k on a classic then you insure it, just like a 50k new car, good luck getting the insurance company to pay you 50k on a almost new vehicle if totalled because its scrap, they will use depreciated street values to compensate you for the loss of like 25K.

But you most likely can not get a loan to buy a classic, its cash only deal.

So if you total it, which is almost impossible these days, because they make every part, from frame to shell body new, its just a matter of sourcing.

The classic can be restored to like new, and then the classic can still fetch the 50k or more, chuckle

Bullsh!t. $60 for a year of insurance? Dream on buddy. I have hagerty insurance and they quoted me $300 half a year. And that's consider cheap. No insurance company will walk you thru the entire application then suddenly they say just $60 a year for you buddy. Too good to be true. Will you establish an insurance comp[any and just charge me $60 a year?
