I stopped listening when this idiot started off hawking mood rings. The rest of it is probably some BS about how classic cars cause global warming. He should eat a dick.

Yeah young girls in their 20s or 30s don't like classic cars because they simply cannot relate to it. Their daddy don't drive it. Their boyfriends didn't drive it. So if you drive it they think your a dush bag.

This is why YouTube videos are NOT sources of information.
Any idiot can put one up, and it's still meaningless nonsense.

We see YouTube videos as LoP sources 50 times a day.

RE: 10 Reasons why you should not buy classic car
A person would buy a classic car if they can afford it and they can enjoy it. I'd love to own a 60's malibu and restore it.

But I wouldn't expect to really get anything back for it, I'd know I'd be flushing my money down the toilet but that's what most hobbies do.

Luckily I dont give a f*#k what they think.

Anything worth buying as an investment is something you shouldn't be using as a daily driver true enough but the same reason you'd buy a new one also applies- you like it and you want it and that's enough.

Classic car is a rich man's hobby. If you don't have an extra garage, and don't want to pay $1000 extra a year for insurance and registration and don't have money to pay maintenance, keep away.

The opposite is true in the UK classic car insurance is cheap same with kit cars yet a normal car can cost thousands in insurance but use the engine and running gear in a kit car and it will only be a few hundred

The only reason why guys like cars is it turns heads. Women's heads. But nowadays loung women don't have memories of classic car. So only women that will turn heads are old ass grandmas.

classic cars go up in value if looked after
are easy to work on compared to cars that loose 50+ % in value over 3 years and are impossible to get under the hood to work on

Look at what 1 headlight costs on a new model even to change a bulb you have to take the front of the car apart $1000+ to change a bulb in a new car

We get free state registration for an antique car in Arkansas - gotta be 20 years old or older.

Naahhhhh... my 2004 little-computerized CRV is pretty darned good.

RE: 10 Reasons why you should not buy classic car
a car is a depreciating asset until its not.

30k plus for a new car is terrible in 3 years its worth half or less, vehicles with loans have to have gap insurance and or full coverage also.

10-20K for a classic is alot also, but if properly cared for, will increase in value.

Classics are for the DIY type enthusiast, and thats what I like, all my vehicles are 20, 30, 40, 50 years old, and the valuations reflect their condition.

The everyday 20 year old V6, the casual 30-40 year old V8, and the garage kept 50 year old muscle car for show and go.

Classic insurance is cheap, parts are plentiful also, so no worry about if something breaks or gets damaged.

No smog and no hi registration fees are also nice, daily driver insurance can be full coverage or minimal as the car is paid off anyway.

Cars are a utility or a hobby, a passion or a money pit, so act accordingly, chuckle

RE: 10 Reasons why you should not buy classic car
Excuse me. 20 or 30 year old cars are not classic cars. Classic cars are like 60s muscle cars or 70s Jaguar. If you driving an old 1995 Honda, that ain't classic car. That's just an good old Japanese car that still drives after 200,000 miles. Yeah I will buy that for $2000 if the paint is good and engine sound. But try buying a classic from the 60s. That's a real money pit right there.

Classic is defined by the driver not the car...
