Berries and probably edible mushrooms. Trees and bushes with berries.

Sure, depends on your climate and environment, birds tend to like nightshades for instance, so I get quite a bit of that. Mushrooms don't grow so well here because of the sun/heat and of course you have to know your sh*t with mushrooms.

They are not very good at spreading grass types and herbs. I think they fill the forrests ground with fauna fast though.

Well they drop off some things, which attracts other things, they drop off some things, etc.

I have quite a variety of grasses here that I didn't plant.

Maybe its not so good that most of it is stuff a small bird could not digest.

Or maybe it's just some occasional stuff it didn't digest. I did check out/identify some of the grasses btw, and they're quite useful (edible and such).

It's the more common, typical stuff that I don't find so useful (in terms of grasses).

Anyway, point is I get a variety of plants, brought to me, for free with basically no effort involved. I mean sure, if you're gonna specifically try and plant some things, that's different.

The more varied it is less invasive and more symbiotic to other plants in general.

Absolutely agree, microbe variety, insect variety, etc.

An ill horn sounds in the Noble House!
