Battle of Tenochtitlán: Cortés & the Aztecs | 1519

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6mtp2EMnNXU

Almost 500 years after the fall of Tenochtitlan, it seems that the wound is open yet...
AMLO has just ask to Felipe VI for an apology for the indians in Mexico...
Spaniards deny it arguing that it is not posible to judge the past with "contemporary vision"
Really??
As if greedy like a disease , to kill, to cheat, to abuse, is not immoral today...
The battle of Tenochtitlan was particularly bloody according to many historians...

RE: Battle of Tenochtitlan
Mexicans did human sacrifices. You can read the horrors Cortes saw there.

So they just meet karma being served.

Darkness attract other darkness and both fight. Then light comes to the new cleared place.

That was what happened with mexico.

Also, Spain did nothing, what did things are the ones living there today. This AMLO guy
is just one of the descendants of those doing things there in mexico to the natives.
Let them fight and cleanse the place between themselves...

Mexico president asks Spain, Pope to apologize for conquest

AMLO asks Spain to apologize for the conquest: Spain says definitely not

The pope was also asked to apologize to Mexico's indigenous people for indignities they suffered

RE: Battle of Tenochtitlan
“I sent a letter to the king of Spain and the pope to ask that they make an account of the injustices and apologize to the indigenous peoples for the violations of what are now known as human rights. There were killings, impositions, the so-called conquest was carried out with the cross and the sword.”

“The arrival 500 years ago of the Spaniards on territory that is now Mexican cannot be judged in the light of contemporary considerations,” the statement said.

Maybe the Spaniards want to justify Nazis behavior also....

RE: Battle of Tenochtitlan
Spaniards should take their historical responsibility
At least with an apology
They cannot??
They do not have the decency, the understanding....PROUD of their genocide??
It seems that They are the same that they sent to Mexico 500 years ago...

RE: Battle of Tenochtitlan
Note that AMLO requests that the apology be for the indigenous people of Mexico
They were the ones who suffered the conquest of the Spanish
The indigenous ... the most unprotected of this world
The poorest of the poor ....

RE: Battle of Tenochtitlan
Indigenous people of Mexico deserve the apology...
OH YES
AMLO only wants to give them what they deserve...DIGNITY AND RESPECT
BUT THE SPANIARDS REFUSED TO APOLOGIZE....
This will make an echo throughout Central and South America

RE: Battle of Tenochtitlan
Of course the Spanish are proud. Every throat slit, every codex burnt, every town infected and every ancient thing overthrown was a credit to their thundering god, mighty, conquering, irresistible, anointed. To this day the Europeans, piratical to a man, consider them the brashest, most vicious individualists, and the gachupin (spiked feet) wear the badge like an honor.

Charles V and the Furor, Prado.

What I think today is AMLO Is a dimwit (but I've always thought that) and war is the mother of all things. Nobody gets an apology from a cannibal pagan, they can only fix themselves up and then get revenge.

All the world says my Tao is great, but seems odd, like nothing on earth.
If it was like anything else, how small it would have been from the very beginning!
