Trump Team Now Has ‘Significant Concern’ About Mueller Report After AG Barr Briefed White House, ABC Reports

Quote:Three weeks after Donald Trump took to Twitter to wrongly declare that Russia investigation Special Counsel had granted him “Complete and Total EXONERATION,” on both collusion and obstruction of justice allegations, Trump’s White House team has now been secretly briefed on the Mueller report, and are showing “significant concern” over what the report will reveal about Trump’s activities during and after the 2016 presidential election.

The report of the briefing came from ABC News correspondent Jonathan Karl, who made the revelations on the Sunday morning This Week with George Stephanopolous program, as posted on Twitter.

When he was asked during a congressional hearing on April 9 whether he had briefed Trump or anyone in the White House on the contents of the Mueller report, Attorney General William Barr simply refused to answer, according to a CNN report, telling House Appropriations Committee, “I’m not going to say anything more about it.”

But Barr added that he planned to hand over a heavily redacted version of the Mueller report to Congress “within a week.”

Trump and his inner circle are now “bracing” for that release, despite large portions of the report that are expected to be blacked out, and they expect it to contain “embarrassing specifics” about what Trump did during the election campaign, as The Inquisitr reported, and its aftermath when Trump fired FBI Director James Comey in May of 2017, saying that he had the Russia investigation in mind when he made the decision to fire Comey.

But according to Karl, the Trump aides are especially worried about what might have been said to Mueller by Trump’s former White House Counsel Don McGahn.

“There are significant concerns about what will be in here, new information on the obstruction of justice question,” Karl told Stephanopolous. “What worries them most is what Don McGahn told the special counsel. It was reported that he spent 30 hours before the special counsel. I’m told it was significantly more than 30 hours.”

Karl also said that, for some reason, McGahn was never “debriefed” by White House aides following his interviews with Mueller. As a result, Trump’s closest aides have no idea what McGahn may have said to Mueller. But he likely discussed Trump’s attempts to fire Mueller, as well as circumstances surrounding Trump’s firing of Comey, Karl reported.

According to former federal prosecutor Renato Mariotti, writing in Politico, the Mueller report’s most significant details are likely to deal directly with the obstruction of justice issue, which Mariotti called — more than any collusion evidence — the issue “that could cause Democrats to seriously push for impeachment.

Thank you for adding that link! Hugs Cheer

Now that Trump has been found innocent of any crime the Democrats think if they can just get his tax returns they MIGHT be able to find a crime there. Where is the probable cause? THERE ISN'T ANY. In our justice system we require probable cause to investigate. The FISA court was lied to by the FBI and the justice department about the Hillary funded lies of collusion. There WAS NO PROBABLE CAUSE THERE. That was suborning perjury and tampering with the FISA court, crimes that the FBI and Obama Justice department are guilty of. Let's hope Barr can put them ALL IN JAIL WHERE THEY BELONG.

Mueller colleague says Trump will hate full Russia report: It will ‘look more like obstruction’

"At least one Lawyer who had experience with special counsel Robert Mueller anticipated that the full report will show most Americans President Donald Trump obstructed justice more than what the law actually demands.

Axios reported some of the claims that Trump has been fully exonerated might not be what Americans see when the report is released.

One lawyer who has dealt with the Mueller team in the past, told Axios, “My guess is, it’s probably going to be when it’s put all together by Mueller’s team, it’s going to look more like obstruction to the casual eye than it might be [legal].”

The White House has already been briefed on the report, and after, Trump changed his tune from wanting to release it to say it was a waste of time and people should move on. The report should be released this week, but will have redactions.

Mueller’s report is nearly 400 pages long and has not been released yet to anyone. Some legal scholars have noted that it doesn’t generally take 400 pages to say someone is innocent.

Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani said that he has prepared a 140-page counter-report to the Mueller findings. Giuliani has not seen the report, however, so it’s unclear how he was able to craft 140 pages responding to a report that he hasn’t read."

Trump has not been found innocent of any crime that ^ is total BS. They specifically said he was not exonerated of obstruction of justice and that and other criminal actions may be specifically suggested by Mueller to be handed over to the house of Reps to decide if they want to impeach Trump on any of that. Please stop lying.

Trump is under congressional investigation in the house of Reps, and they have probable cause to get his tax returns to see if there is any evidence in them of criminal activity or tax evasion which Trump's lawyer Cohen said Trump was involved directly in, in two different cases.

Please stop posting BS.

Well, yes, but it is mostly the investigators that are being investigated.

Didn't Mariotti once work under Mueller?

What Will Really Matter in the Mueller Report

The public will be looking for salacious details on collusion. But the most important legal questions all have to do with obstruction.

Awww that is so sweet that you care about my mental health and potential for depression if Trump were to get re-elected. I think most experts give him about a 2% chance of that currently.

If it happens I will be sad but then I will do what I did this last time and fight against Trump's stupid policies and autocratic tendencies with more vim and vigor than ever.

Thanks again for caring about me. Hugs Cheer

No that is not really true. The house has full authority to get Trump's taxes and to get subpoenas and and to refer criminal investigations and potential charges to the DOJ for perjury and lying to congress, etc. etc.. They don't need the Senate for any of that.
