RE: State Department Warns Americans Of Kidnapping Risk In 35 Countries
I've never been to North Korea ,read lots of books on it ,all tourists are escorted around the country .The North Korean public would not dare to even talk to a foreigner.
I would imagine your chance of being kidnapped would be zero. Its a shame they cancelled their mass games this I would have liked to have seen.Makes the half time football show in the US pale by comparison.
Two easy ways to get in trouble there, showing disrespect for their leader ,and prostelizers smuggling in Bible's.

only 35 ?

I expect this number is much higher but they don't want to scare people. If Trump continues with the tariffs on friendly nations i can see some of them joining the list, perhaps even Canada. i know many Canadians who now hate the US for what they are doing to the world. As for Mexico (which is on the list) i am surprised this hasn't happen yet, seeing as millions of rich Americans visit even year.

State Department Warns Americans Of Kidnapping Risk In 35 Countries, Including Parts Of Mexico And Africa

PHILADELPHIA (CBS/CNN) — The U.S. State Department has updated its travel advisories for 35 countries with a new indicator to highlight the risk of kidnapping and hostage taking. The announcement comes days after American tourist Kimberly Sue Endicott and her tour guide were rescued by security forces after being abducted in Uganda’s Queen Elizabeth National Park.

On Tuesday, Ugandan police announced the arrests of some people in connection to the kidnapping and are still actively investigating the incident.

High-threat countries including Uganda will now be labeled with a “K” in order to “communicate more clearly to U.S. citizens the risks of kidnapping and hostage taking by criminal and terrorist actors around the world,” the department said Tuesday.

Travel advisories the following countries have been updated to include the “K” indicator: Afghanistan, Algeria, Angola, Bangladesh, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Colombia, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ethiopia, Haiti, Iran, Iraq, Kenya, Lebanon, Libya, Malaysia, Mali, Mexico, Niger, Nigeria, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Russian Federation, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Syria, Trinidad and Tobago, Turkey, Uganda, Ukraine (in Russian-controlled eastern Ukraine), Venezuela, and Yemen.

I guess all that winning has put Americans in danger around the world. I expect this list to grow as Trump decide to cut aid to every central American country.

pretty soon Americans wont be able to go anywhere other than Canada.

Thanks, but I'm glad I saw enough of the world before it turned to sh*t.

Go to Canada? Pffft.

There's enough great stuff to see in my own country. Also, why is North Korea not on that list? Remember Otto Warmbier!
North Korea is not on the list for a bad reason i think Trump is trying to make nice with Kim and this would send the wrong message, but when it all collapses they will join the list. Trump couldn't give a rats ass for Otto Warmbier, that he still blames on Obama.

But your most at risk on worthless former American soil where Democrat liberal commie pigs have declared open season and waRfare on americans, especially white male christians

If you whiny pathetic lying worthless idiots are afraid to walk like a man in the US, put on a burka and pretend to be something other than what you are. This white male is going to go where I want and need to go, proudly and openly. There is nobody targeting white male Christians or non Christians anywhere in the US.

Grow some, loser.

I hope United Arab Emirates, is on the list that those nations that were mentioned will be added to. We lost a LOPer there a few years ago.

I would Not go to Any 'dark nations'. EVER!

But people I know, have gotten back from places I would never go, sometimes. A woman on the staff here at then.u.t. house went to Saudi Arabia, and got back. 1dunno1 they have to let a certain amount go, or people would stop coming.

Don't take the risk.

Good choice those "dark nations" don't need your hate and fear and idiocy.

Sorry you are so consumed with hate and fear and ignorance. The would is a beautiful place. BTW even if you stay in countries like Norway, Canada and the US there are white supremacist criminal and terror gangs and white only biker MC's built on racism and drug trafficking that would kill you as soon as look at you regardless of your skin color if they could make a buck off you.

Staying safe has nothing to do with skin color. Grow some brains and you can be safe almost anywhere.

If you have some young lib friends who want to prove how safe these countries and people really are; and take, say, a bicycle trip, both ending up dead and slaughtered, warn them. Say "don't do that" and tell them it's on internet-land if they wish to broaden their horizons.

There were those two tourist girls that traveled to Morocco, went to an unsafe part of the country even after being warned not to if I can recall, and got beheaded by ISIS fanatics. Some people just don’t listen and have a death wish.
