“When Barr withheld the full OLC opinion in 1989 and said to trust his summary of the principal conclusions, Yale law school professor Harold Koh wrote that Barr’s position was “particularly egregious.” Congress also had no appetite for Barr’s stance, and eventually issued a subpoena to successfully wrench the full OLC opinion out of the Department.”

I know from early on their is a lot of hillary dirt that was turned over to other judges working on other cases.

Amazing how all this coup stuff is so interconnected.

The opinion that it violates the UN Charter rests on the Security Council resolution condemning the es traction of Eichmann.

The part they claim prohibits this is:
4. All Members shall refrain in their international relations from the threat or use of force against the territorial integrity or political independence of any state, or in any other manner inconsistent with the Purposes of the United Nations.

That is about invasion. It doesn't address the abduction of a foreign national.

Countries spy on each other all the time. The fact this isn't condemned for violating Article 4 of the UN Charter would tend to support Barr.

But yeah, the fact they are reaching that far back, means they are reaching.

And further - the Special Counsel act was changed, by the Democrats, to prevent Ken Starr Report style embarrassment of the president. The Democrats want a Ken Starr style report on Trump - which no longer the law.
