how does the brain look while consuming several packets of splenda daily? iam still on my free basing sugar substitute binge

Aspartame is rumored to cause microscopic holes in your brain tissue. My mom was having severe migraine headaches and was drinking a lot of diet sodas. Once she stopped drinking those, her headaches subsided almost immediately. Splenda is sucralose, and while they boast it is made from sugar, it's still hitting the reward centers of your brain and can cause a dependence and there was one study that showed a link between Splenda and Leukemia in mice. There's always Honey or Stevia I guess.
Folks used to have sugar bowls with lids on it to keep the sugar covered in order to keep the flies and ants out of it... now nothing eats it because it's become through processing a literal poison.

i drink diet sodas everyday and have no headaches...so that affects certain types of people. i also start drinking something like crystal light/ kool aid with splenda to improve my soda binging hobby. splenda to me is supreme..it sweetens all my foods just right.

heck even putting some veggies on the pizzas prior to baking would help

slice up an onion , some broccoli , pepper , mushroom and toss it on and into the oven it goes.

he really needs to cut out the soda though imo

I seriously don't understand what people like about soda's.

I fill a 2L bottle with water every day, so i know i drink enough. A lot of people are chronically hydrated, which can cause all kind of complaints.

looks as though one of our most loyal posters has fallen on hard times as of late , and is in need of some guidance and direction . this thread exists for the sole purpose of people giving their opinion on how he can improve his situation

That's because most situations don't magically resolve themselves, ona has to actually DO something about it.

For what it's worth I don't think Ghost has lost his job either, his colleague just didn't want to hear the whining. As in...

"Jeeze I get it, you're going home. Go already, just spare me the whining"

For people struggling with depression that "actually doing something about it" is really not that easy. No matter how much you want something you can't turn it into deeds.

I never ate that healthy either, lots of frozen pizzas, fried food, processed food, etc. I have tried switching to healthier food before but habits are hard to shake, so i always fell back in my old routine. But now for the past 4 months or so I succeeded in making big chances in my diet. And I definitely notice a difference. A better and bigger difference than any of the anti-depressants i took over the years.

Because you don't notice differences right away it's easy to fall back, but living healthier is really helping very much for people struggling with depression.

I recognise all you say as I've been dealing with depression for a few decades now, unfortunatley taking action IS the only viable option. Each time you metaphorically fall over, you just have to get through the days taking action when you can and forget making excuses when you can't. If you keep trying, any action that IS taken has a cumilative effect to the good.

Some days all it does is slow the descent downwards, other days it moves you upwards. It's essential to recognise (preferable without self judgement) that taking no action inevitably means going to slide down hil to some degree, then act with that knowledge whenever you can to move yourelf upwards again.

In my book "managing" depression is about creating the motion in a positive direct, more frequently than creating the motion in a negative direction. Trust me, we DO create our own depression, we're not always aware of how we do it, which is the problem. The learning process is about how to create it's opposite.

We're the sum of all parts. Nature/nurture plays a big role.

Manic episodes would have suited my personality better but alas, i got the other end of the deal lol.

But i really notice a difference with the healthier eating and supplements regime.

Splenda and aspartame are not the same things.
Splenda is just as bad for you though

RE: good advice for GHOST OF LOP thread
to be frank..he needs to get out of living in a state of denial.. stop talking about issues, and start by doing something about em.. i used to have that attitude, "all talk and no action" couldnt get anything done to improve myself..then i started to take matters into own hands.

I used to work third shift security at hotels back when the minimum wage was $4.75 an hour. I was getting paid $4.60 an hour illegally with no benefits. I worked 72 hours a week to pay my rent. The lesson was to not do that for too long. It was a transitional job. Life tries to prevent you from getting too comfortable with something when it's not the right thing for you.

And I have great memories from that low paying job. I was young, just turned 21. I had a great uniform and a badge. Looked like a cop. I met these 4 girls one night working at a Hampton Inn in Knoxville. We stayed up the whole night playing cards and talking. I ended up meeting them later for a road trip to the beach. We got a hotel room for the night. Me and 4 girls. It wasn't an orgy or anything crazy, just a fun experience. Totally worth that shitty job. That one memory. Totally worth it.

So they treated you like just another gal-pal that night in the hotel room? 21 years old with 4 other females in a hotel room and no action to report that night?

Were you castrated? chuckle
