YAHOO ARTICLE

Quote:This season of Game of Thrones has been a bit of a mess. Things aren't going well for any of the characters or for the showrunners, who have made lazy mistakes throughout the first four episodes.

And at the end of the very bizarre Episode Four of Season Eight, we find the leaders of Daenerys' army standing outside the gates of King's Landing to attempt to broker a surrender with Cersei Lannister. But something looked off. Now, Game of Thrones fans on Reddit have pinpointed exactly what feels wrong about King's Landing in Season Eight compared to what we've seen in previous seasons.

AND ... what about the fact that Daenerys slaughtered the Tarley Family ... Sams Family .. and then the 'Tarley family sword' is what saved her life during the battle of Winterfell??? No one is talking about that. Sam would be saying something like 'you wiped out my family and yet my family sword saved you' or at least he'd say it to Gilly or something. And where is the sword? Where'd it go?

Missing conversations. Lazy writers.

Hmmm, screw monarchs screw romantizing their delusions of superiority and screw reveling in a ignorant and and abysmal era. I wonder if the average serf would spit in a game of the one fans face. I would

Very disappointing imo killing of the White Walkers like that after 8 years of oohhhh "Winter is coming" facepalm

I hope the situations becomes impossible to win and John puts some dragon glass into his heart hole and becomes the new Night King chuckle

But that would be good mysterious bad ass writing, so it won´t happen.

They wrote the last season specifically for the fans, that's it. Everything the fans wanted they got (GoT, get it?) and that's the problem. I wonder if the book will have the same finish. Doubt it.

I should also state, the shows writers have said they would be "very drunk and far away from the tv and internet" when the show ends. That's basically code for "We've done f**ked up."

However, I really thought the show would use an analogy this last season for political issues and they did not. So, gotta give em that I guess?

I can't say I am completely disappointed but it could have been done better. We waited 2 years for this?
