Someone call the 700 Club and let them know.

A tradition cannot make an historical claim and then refuse to have it evaluated by history

In the 90s I had a dream, that my ancestors were in America, and had a dark enemy (Homo Sapiens) , who targeted them in particular as their favorite prey.
The idea was that they had to flee to the European continent and mix with the locals there to ever save their species. 1dunno1
It was why I first became interested in archeology.

I don't know how much was in the dream, and how much I myself just assumed. But I thought that my ancestors had evolved in America.
After I investigated, I discovered the 'out of Africa' theory, and the 'Clovis first' theory, etc...

There were some bits of conflicting data at the time. The 'Topper' site dated to 40,000 years ago. But, 'experts' just didn't believe it.

Any way. I progressed to thinking, that maybe 'we' all did start out in Africa. But that my ancestors may have been chased out of America, etc.
But there seems to always be more new information in archeology to conflict accepted theories.

Here is an interesting and worthy comment i copied, from the article in the link.

Elephants are clever tool users.
They are known to have stuffed leaves into bells that were Hung around their necks to silence their movements when they were raiding villagers wine stashes.

Remarkable New Evidence for Human Activity in North America 130,000 Years Ago

The team’s findings, published today in the journal Nature, could upend our current understanding of when humans arrived in North America—already a flashpoint among archaeologists. Recent theories posit that people first migrated to the continent about 15,000 years ago along a coastal route, as Jason Daley writes in Smithsonian. But in January, a new analysis of horse remains from the Bluefish Caves by archaeologist Jacques Cinq-Mars suggested that humans may have lived on the continent as early as 24,000 years ago.

The new study, however, suggests that some type of hominin species—early human relatives from the genus Homo—was bashing up mastodon bones in North America about 115,000 years earlier than the commonly accepted date. That’s a staggeringly early date, and one that is likely to raise eyebrows. There is no other archaeological evidence attesting to such an early human presence in North America.

“I realize that 130,000 years is a really old date,” Thomas Deméré, principal paleontologist at the San Diego Museum of Natural History and one of the authors of the study, conceded during a press conference. “Of course, extraordinary claims like this require extraordinary evidence.” Deméré and his co-authors believe that their discoveries at the Cerutti Mastodon site—as the area of excavation is known—provide just that.

now go release the giant skeletons you cover up , and we're good , SM

Most of our written history is fiction. Things have been suppressed to the point that written history tells a good story. It is just a story.
I believe the earth had advanced civilization 4 times before the current. Wiped out each time by themselves or something.
Just my thoughts.

Do you all remember Kennewick man found in Washington State. Caucasian.

No. Not ancestral to modern-day American Indians (which probably pissed them off), but closest (DNA-wise, anyway) to modern-day Asiatic Siberians.

Those he commands move only in command,
Nothing in love. Now does he feel his title
Hang loose about him, like a giant’s robe
Upon a dwarfish thief.

Macbeth, act V scene II
