Would they choose to hold their breath in protest at being forced to love something in exchange for life...

...or would they choose to live in denial by denying it's a deity and keep on breathing it in anyway?

As this theoretical scenario will never come to pass, who cares?

When science can prove that a diety actually exists, who created all, we'll answer that..until then i wouldn't hold my breath.

Don't atheists exist on theories?

You're always talking about the theory of relativity and the theory of evolution as though it's fact; you teach your theories to kids in school.

You're breathing oxygen so I am half right already.

Do your theories keep people alive? Are they actually useful?

All we need to discover now is whether oxygen is a deity or was created by a deity (which is kind of the same thing).

Would you protest?

Would you reject the evil deity or just pretend it's not true (like you do now)?

You should care if the deity known as oxygen decides to disconnect the air supplies from those who 'don't care' (if you want to live).

If you don't care why should oxygen care?

If there was a way to prove that elements were intelligent then we would deal with that fact that were comprised of them as well, so we being earth bound and human we could not be a deity by definition, hence we would have to conclude that either we were gods as well or that there was none at all. So fundamentally your question has a problem, beyond that it's very dumb and obviously antagonistic.

If oxygen were a deity then maybe it should take vengeance on the biggest polluters?

Science needs Oxygen but Oxygen doesn't need science so I think the deity can prove it exists and is intelligent by disconnecting science and then all the atheists wonder where did their precious god science go?

What can science do to kill Oxygen?

So if oxygen is a deity, are all the other elements gods also?

Your personal definitions are self-serving therefore in opposition to the oxygen deity which gives freely even when you harm it with pollutants.

Do they rule your life? Do you depend on them? Do you need them to exist?

Do you obey them? Do you love them? Do you take them?

They at least all represent a single deity and 'his' qualities which you treasure every single day - bad gods don't like to give credit.

Do you need the theory of evolution to exist?

Oxygen or the theory of evolution? Which is the better deity out of the two?

Who cares? If Oxygen were code for Police, nothing changes. Great captains know leadership be crazy. Oxygen could be the name of a service weapon.
