Leading Nuclear Researcher Issues Grave Fukushima Warning

400 tons of radioactive water falling into the pacific since the QUake and spreading into the skies and not a damn thing anybody does or says about it. Yes, fukushima focked us.

‘Ongoing Global Radiological Catastrophe’ and ‘Huge Cover Up’

Phillip Schneider, Staff Writer
Waking Times

Physician and anti-nuclear activist and author of the book On the Effects of Nuclear Radiation, Dr. Helen Caldicott made an interview appearance with Global Research earlier this year to give the world a dire warning: if this mess continues, already increased cancer rates in Japan are likely to get even worse and spread throughout the world.

The carcinogenic effects of radiation can take anywhere from 3 to 80 years to develop. However, the government of Japan has chosen to only review only one type of cancer, Thyroid cancer, which appears much earlier, says Dr. Caldicott.

“And already, they’ve looked at children under the age of 18 in the Fukushima prefecture at the time of the accident, and … how many children… 100…no 201 by June 18 last year… 201 had developed thyroid cancer.” ~Dr. Helen Caldicott

As president of the US based Nuclear Policy Research Institute (later renamed Beyond Nuclear) since 2001, Caldicott wanted to bring attention to this issue now as the 8th anniversary of the meltdown has just passed with virtually no mainstream media coverage.

The Japanese government is also playing down the harmful effects of their radioactive environment. Area doctors, as Caldicott says, are being told not to discuss the radiation with their patients, lest they might lose important government funding.

“It’s an absolute medical catastrophe I would say, and a total cover up to protect the nuclear industry and all its ramifications.”

The reactors in Fukushima could erupt again at any time. With very impromptu methods of keeping radioactive isotopes out of the environment, such as freezing soil underneath to stop mountain water from draining through, any problem such as a temporary loss of electricity could cause more radiation to pour into the environment of Japan.

In addition, the damaged molten cores of the reactor are virtually impossible to decommission. Any human that would dare attempt to venture close enough to one of the reactors to dismantle it, “would die within 48 hours.” Robots that have been sent in have had their wiring melt and disappear.

It seems clear based on Dr. Caldicott’s report that the Fukushima nuclear site needs direct international attention as soon as possible. Unfortunately, neither the nuclear industry nor the Japanese government seem to be interested in solving the problem.

The amount of radiation being released out of the reactor is reportedly as much as 70% higher per hour than that of Chernobyl, which led to diseases, “including premature aging in children, microcephaly in babies, very small heads, diabetes, [and] leukemia.”

Fukushima is SPREAD all around the World Now.
Everybody knows, But thanks for the Warning!

If you have a geiger counter and know the radioactive signature
of the uranium that was used at Fukushima. You can test for it
and find residual radiation on every beach in the world.

Yet the leaders at the G7 meeting in France are not talking about this global catastrophe.

What can they do about it? I'm seriously not just being a dick here....we won't have the tech to even start dealing with Fuku for years. I'm honestly not sure what could be accomplished by telling people the truth about it.

Well...

No, you can't find the "signature of the uranium".

The Cesium 137 from Fukushima was looked for by Woodshole in California using CS134 as a marker that it was from Fukushima.

They detected cesium off the California coast about 3 years later less than 2 Bequerels per cubic meter. The background Cesium 137 level is around 0.9 or some such.

The ocean is normally 11300 Bequerels per cubic meter - mostly (99+%) natural.

I keep a keen eye on the cams.

there have been a few odd things going on lately. after the last EQ we had Full Steam blanket over the site, I imagine the steam must come from the reactors, the water must come from the tanks, no containment so the cooling water probably goes straight into the sea.

I heard the food grown there is exported. never seen Japanese steak before a few years ago. now it`s even on Australian cooking shows.

To make the public believe all is hunky dory..japanese food is the safest on the planet, untouched by 'human' hands.

There was also an increase in thyroid cancers reported among residents of the west coast. And an increase in "rare" cancers nation wide ever since.
I'm sure everyone is suffering from some sort of radiation poisoning, and are being diagnosed with everything but. Rashes, fevers, digestive, respiratory, cardiac, cancers, etc..all with very similar symptoms.
So take a few meds..if you don't have anything yet, the meds will help move that along.

The US limit for cesium in drinking water is 4800 Bequerels per cubic meter.

Where is your link to the thyroid cancers???

There was a fake study about 7 years ago.

Is it that one?

Yeah, I saw frozen packaged Kobe beef at my local discount store yesterday. First time I've seen it for sale here in the US.

Does it glow in the dark?

I have a Mazur PRM-9000 geiger counter. I got it to measure ionized radiation in some collector items I have known to be radioactive, and to test my environment inside and out. I have yet to detect anything significantly radioactive in my environment other than known items. A glass mirror for a laser was one item that I didn't expect to be radioactive was radioactive. I've not detected anything alarming in my environment other than non-ionized radiation (RF signals, which I use different equipment to detect and measure).
