I hope the soup isnt the remains of your deceased cat?

Do you actually think that he would go through that much effort for anything?

On a positive note, I am actually super proud of him for finally making a quick and simple home-cooked meal. I (and many others here) have been suggesting this to him for a long time now. It may be many more months before he prepares another home-cooked meal for himself, but for now, I am damn proud of him now.

But I must admit that am seriously wondering if maybe the cat in that photo was the one who actually prepared this meal. But the cat cant reach the counter top, so maybe it really was Ghost who prepared it. Good for him if so!

I'll be nice and give him a c- for effort. It doesn't look like a bunch of grease floatin on top yet so maybe he at least tried drainin most of the meat grease out before he tossed it in the pot. He may have tried but fvcken A man...why ruin it with a sodium laden can of campbells soup? He could've easily got a big can of cheap ass low/no salt tomatoes...pureed them himself and used those for the base. Just a cheap handheld shake mixer is somethin we use a lot.

Even use it to puree some vegetables you may not like to really eat. Throw a turnip...couple of parsnips and a sweet potato in the oven to bake. Smash em down with some of the broth and use the mixer on em until smooth. Then throw em in with the rest of the soup and stir em around and let it simmer for 20-30 minutes. It works great as a thickener for your broth
and lets you add a little more water for more broth if you want.

But geez...at the very least use the can tomatoes for your base dude. Soup is supposed to taste better the next day AND campbells tomato soup DOES NOT taste better or even good the next day.

We might be surprised at how many would watch and actually copy him. "We" might be sittin all high and mighty on our smarty pants chairs...but it's a guarantee there are more bozos out there like ghostie that less than halfass everything they do than we'd like to think.

OMG!!! please tell me the meat in that soup isn't made out of that cat

Not to worry. There is no way Ghost would ever go through that much effort to make a meal.

It took him all week to work up the motivation to throw some ground beef, macaroni, green beans, carrots, and onions together for cooking.

chuckle

Hey at least I cooked the ground beef
pilled and cut the taters and onions

Did you talk to your doctor about the pain in your other leg?

Not yet,
It's eased a lot

I am going to mention to my home nurse tomorrow when she comes
to do the bandage change.

The OP has a difficult time boiling water and making toast. And I am serious on that.

But it would make for a GREAT comedy series, so he SHOULD DO IT!!!!!!

Your inability to think outside of your packaged and jarred starters will continue to keep you loaded with sodium and sugar. With your condition and your cookin practices you will never get better. And this is your healthier crap. It's not even countin the amount of sodium and sugar you consume in your "normal" diet. Your recent malady was your body rejecting what you're feedin it AND YOU WILL end up losin feeling in limbs as well as possibly losin those limbs along with eye sight early and even worse if you keep it up.

We all have certain things that could do us in early...but man dude you don't eat OR drink anything that isn't loaded with all kinds of crap. I don't believe you've consumed anything healthy for maybe two days in a row since your 2 month hospital stay. YOU HAVEN'T EVEN TRIED.

Death...the final frontier.

Not all that healthy looking, all that pasta and having used canned soup it's loaded with sugar and salt. Did you drain the hamburger after you browned it? Probably made with fatty meat anyway.

That's the kind of soup a lumberjack could eat but not a diabetic recovering from testicular gangrene.
