I only read King that I have already read because he is Mainer-British networked (Portland: Burn-induced in one fashion or another, repeatedly, since 1775 ... older than Baltimore).

JSK - formerly JFK - was raised as a "Frenchman" (Brit-Protestant grandfather lingo) captive in a Mainer-Brit networked Protestant-dominated house (Mother's side Virgo; Father was Scorpio-sidekick Catholic in the situation - partnered up that way though so you would know for certain).

They are releasing Dr Sleep in theaters next week. It’s the sequel to the shining. Def gonna see that one.

I’ve seen the dark tower. It was ok. Never read the book. But those who have said the movie was rushed and left a lot out. They should have made it a mini series.

Basically they left so much out that it made it hard to understand for those who did not read the book. A lot of holes in the story.

They always do that. I read Dr sleep and it was pretty good. I'm guessing i will be disappointed in the movie.

I read all but the last book when I was in my late teens. By the time I got my hands on the last one, I had outgrown it and after reading the first page and lost interest.

I'm not sure if I'll watch the movie, movies are such crap now.

That book was the first time I had ever heard the word "winning" being used as a reference to something else other than actual winning.

I always wondered if that was where Charlie Sheen got it from.

It was what one of the characters junkie brothers would say when he was high. "I'm winning."

I fear not pain nor death, my only fear is living without honor.

The movie was not done well, I would recommend Black House though, the sequel to the Talisman.

The Dark Tower series of books are excellent. King is great at creating characters that are relatable in their humanity. The movie, meh. Never expect to get all of a book's info in a movie and you won't be disappointed. Kings latest book, The Institute, was a really good read.
