Bow down before it and you can rule the world. Except ya gotta fight and eat all the other worshipers to prophet from it. After all each kingdom has their own high lords to guard it. And if you're really good at it you get to be at the top of the heep. Except ya gotta take Machiavelli's advice to keep it...

It turns men into monsters...

But, only for a little while....

Seems as if Christ was offered to rule over ALL kingdoms if he bowed down. We know what happened there...

Has anyone else since then been offered control of them all? Not just one or two, but ALL kingdoms on this Earth?

You are speaking with one who has declared his Independence and War upon the nations.

I do not care if it is one being or many that rule over the nations.

I think he was a Palestine that had traveled to Buddhist lands.

They are all about not having attachments to worldly things and possessions. And all about servitude to other life.

Most Buddhists see the possession of wealth as the outcome of good actions in the past. Wealth, therefore, can bring happiness. Buddhism teaches that monks , the members of the Sangha , live a simple life where they have the necessities to be comfortable and no more.

What does Buddhism teach about wealth and poverty?

Try again.

So they see it as a (temporary) comfort you get, by doing good, not as something you should go after, just to have more of it. You just need to be good.

But this comfort must be not that relevant for them, cos they believe that in the end, if you want enlightenment, and to not reincarnate back on earth, on an earthly level, but to move up higher, you need to let go of all worldy connections and wants and needs. You need to not want anything anymore from this world.

No, Mammon is not a god.

Mammon is merely a demon.

For those who do not understand the word demon, use motivation instead.

As in, Mammon is merely the motivation that drives a Man to do what ever it is he does.

Mammon and Greed are synonymous.

Bow down before it and you can rule the world. Except ya gotta fight and eat all the other worshipers to prophet from it. After all each kingdom has their own high lords to guard it. In modern understanding, in the movie The Matrix, Neo accepted the new world he was shown. The world where he had powers and control. His eyes were opened. God created Adam with closed eyes. That was when things were perfect. The world Jesus was tempted with was the world he rejected.

Many have come to believe they made the wise choice because of the effects they see based on their influence through thoughts and emotions. "Truth" becomes their addiction. Addiction being the trade. The law of attraction is the law of the land in that world. It's what drove Solomon to insanity. All became vanity in his minds eye eventually. Wisdom and all, he went insane. Riches, fame, glory...everything to his wishes, yet went insane and lost his mind AKA soul. Obese diabetics Will tell you, you can have the cake and eat it too, all of it.

That is NOT a line in the sand.

Jesus drew the line in the sand.

You CANNOT serve God and keep his commandments by pursuing Wealth and the commandments of men.

Period.

RE: What made Jesus UNIQUE in history
The two great commandments are to Love God Almighty with all your heart, your mind, and your soul, and your neighbor as yourself.

And that is because God Almighty is the Spirit in whom all move and have their being, and who being is within ALL.

What you have done to one another, you have done unto God.

What you are doing to one another, you are doing to God.

What you will do to one another, you will do unto God.

Woe to them who would continue to support and defend pyramid schemes that pit Mankind against one another, having received this knowledge of the Truth.

RE: What made Jesus UNIQUE in history
Blessed are the MEEK, for they shall inherit the Earth.

For in the Beginning, God created the Heavens and the Earth, and Man he created in his image, male and female, and to them he gave Dominion. and the sons and daughters of Mankind, therefore the rightful Heirs.

Blessed are the Peace Makers, for they shall be called the children of God.

For just as Jesus tore himself to pieces and crucified himself by his unwavering testimony to the Truth (He said he came to bring a sword, pit every man against his own household, a yada yada yada...), it was God who raised him up again in three days, to show that it is God who is the author of unity and peace.

Fruit don't fall far from the Tree.

I liked how he flipped the money changer tables. Most folks don't get the greater significance of that. Those tables were made of stone not wood. When Christ cast out the money changers he was flipping big ass heavy as sin stone tables.

If only we all had that mustard seed of faith.

Prayer for the Disciples

6I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word. 7Now they have known that all things whatsoever thou hast given me are of thee. 8For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me. 9I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine. 10And all mine are thine, and thine are mine; and I am glorified in them. 11And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are. 12While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.

13And now come I to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves. 14I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. 15I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil. 16They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. 17Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. 18As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world. 19And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth.

Prayer for all Believers

20Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word; 21That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.

22And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: 23I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me. 24Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.

25O righteous Father, the world hath not known thee: but I have known thee, and these have known that thou hast sent me. 26And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them.
