Well I agree with this, as you probably know.
I believe we are in a vessel\body, so therefore we owe that body a certain amount of respect..which could have been the ultimate point of all religious texts within the world.

oh yes there are certain things that run similar in all of them..
those things ring true,.. 'know thyself' and all of that..
certain fundamental truths are part of it.
those are fine by me.
i dont follow any particular religion myself though.

When I first went on the internet.. which was wayback in the day, I didn't have any religion either but I went online trying to find Christlike people, and I think I found them. Didn't take long either.

If people find solace in believing in a higher power...who TF you think you are to challenge that?

Just go about your business and your beliefs and let people have theirs.

Piss poor excuse for Xtians to continue to not become better souls. An excuse to just keep on "sinning" without doing any soul work whatsoever because it doesn't matter to your god or your jesus.

And you criticize me without reading through the thread. I said releasing your will to God was the path of sanctification.

As Christians we don't become sinless we sin less over time. But 1 sin is enough to condemn you to an eternity absent God. God is all goodness, warmth, love, happiness. Without God there is only hatred, violence, anger, cold, bitterness.

Sorry. The TRUE God doesn't favor you Xtians over anyone, or any thing that is all part of Creation. Your elitism, and exclusionary religion is a farce.

IF your Jesus were to come back, Xtians (especially EVANGELICAL Xtians) are the group he is going to say. "I never knew you."

Why? because you never knew him..

RE: Why do you give your will to god?
Only the organism in toto has end-existence; all subparts are means and it is this experience of self as mere means which gives rise to ontological anguish. If there is to be happiness it must come in a voluntary relin quishing of self in exchange for aware participation in the destiny of the total one. There can be no happiness for the subsections, so the search for it is doomed to fail; while existing (and fruitlessly searching for intrinsic fulfillment), each subpart is used by the organism as a whole remorselessly and relentlessly; that is their fates. What Christ offers is miraculous awareness of and hence participation in (with joy)—the totality; to be united with Christ is to be melded into the totality—the only true joy. -PKD, "Exegesis".

Is why I did not indoctrinate my children into any form of religion, send them to church etc.

If spiritual seeking is not present, it cannot be forced. If it is not sincere seeking then it is dogma. It's an individual path.

RE: Why do you give your will to god?
Would you like me to quote or link.

You went after me for giving BP an uplifting spiritual message that only he and I would know and you interjected yourself into it when it was none of your business...than make some snarky ass post after the fact. Talked sh*t to falcon..

And then start this thread?
Who you think you talking to?
Its bait and its bullshit.

Are you so weak in your own beliefs and moral standards to stand on your own?

Serious question. Are you capable being a good person without god?
Religious God is a sham.

You know what, I dont like you're f*cking attitude lately
You have issues with God and religion, fine, great but dont attack people who have spirituality and that's all you've been doing for 2 days.

Sit your $5 ass down before I make change.

You bothering me...and I usually dig you.

"religion" is NOT spirituality. It's false light.

I do not impose any religion on children.
if they feel the need, they will find a way.
I know for sure that since childhood they holyly believe in the Supreme Being \ God \ Allah
and they have their own reasons for it
they do not carry any religious amulets, but everyone has something of their own that is very valuable to them and they believe in their strength.
many things happened and happen before their eyes
and these things cannot be explained otherwise
so for them, belief in good and evil is unconditional.
