Plant more food bearing trees.

But it’s Christmas season - trees must die be cut for sake of Christian Christmas

Yawn

There really is nothing new under the sun. This is nothing more than a re-packaged earth worshipping cult.

More plants are good.
Carbondioxide + water = Plants + oxygen Cheer
Less Carbondioxide, More Oxygen
Less water/sea level, more land.

Win.

Yeah it's pretty obvious, let the plants have the "excess" carbon, don't try and steal it from the plants with industrial sh*t, let the earth heal and the climate improve.

RE: Tree planting 'has mind-blowing potential' to tackle climate crisis
You know what is better than planting trees?
Its not planting trees where people grow crops like India has been trying to do..
Its not turning farmland into forests.
First leave the damn trees alone, stop cutting them down for farm land and stop flattening farm land for industrialization.
Do you want to see laws that really make a difference?
Make a limit of new industrial development unless it is on old industrial property.
I mean we don't need more factories in the third world when we have vast swaths of industrial property unused in Michigan and Ohio.
Ever hear of the idea of urban renewal?
Importing products from places where they have slashed and burned the forests has introduced pests and blights that threaten all forestry efforts here in the U.S.
Emerald Ash borer, Oak blight, planting more trees at this point will just spread the plague, but stopping cutting down the remaining strands is insanity.

RE: Tree planting 'has mind-blowing potential' to tackle climate crisis
There is plenty of land to plant trees that has nothing to do with food production. No body is going to turn farms into forests silly monkeys

Planting trees is the fastest, easiest, cheapest, solution for carbon reduction which is supposedly the cause of global warming.

Any one can plant a tree and if every human planted one tree that would be over 7 billion trees.

This solution is real and should be implemented. We can call it the Johnny Appleseed Doctrine. The JAD is a plan to plant trees wherever and whenever they can be planted by whomever wants to take part in the plan. Plant Coconut trees in the tropics and orange trees in Southern California. Plant Redwoods in NorCal and plant Maples in Vermont.

If there were a climate crisis, I might agree that more trees might help. I like trees.

I fear not pain nor death, my only fear is living without honor.

It's weird how popeye is one of the first to respond to almost every thread. You might want to cool it.

There's nothing like agarian peace. I love fruit trees, theres a saying that goes like this, the greatest men are the old men who plant trees even though they know they wont be around to rest in their shade!

With the almond milk craze , rather than cows milk someone had better start planting almonds.

Grass is good too.

Whole cows milk has vitamin D in it which we are short of up north in winter ..even though we have grass most of the year .

The oldies knew best what to eat where we lived when we struggled to survive .
