Watched the video. It doesn't look like the walls are insulated. Even if they filled the gaps with blown insulation, that's not enough for cold climates.

How does that material hold up to use? If you want to stick a poster up or tack something onto the interior wall, will it crumble? Interior walls are supposed to be able to be cut and replaced if they need to be repaired. That 3D printed wall would have to be patched with some kind of putty I guess?

They showed a bathroom but I didn't see any other big appliances. Did not see a full kitchen. Did not see a laundry room.

It's hard to tell, but it looks like 3 rooms are inside: a bedroom, a bathroom, and a living room.

Now that I see it up close I think $10,000 is a bad deal. That's not worth even $2,000.

They should make these available for all the millions of impoverished, homeless and starving Americans too since most Americans can't afford to buy a $400,000 home or to put food on the table.

It's concrete, the printing arm just injects plasticized concrete which hardens over time. But there should be reinforcing in the walls, I've never seen a reinforcing cage that they print into because you can't get the printing head in between the reinforcing bars.

But by IBC code you need reinforcing in the walls, maybe they could print out a portion of the wall then come back in an stick vertical reinforcing in the mud but it still has to be tied off at the bottom.

Alternatively maybe they need to start having 2 heads on the printing arm, one that prints out the concrete mud and another that prints out steel.

$10K for walls. That roof, windows, doors and prob utilities and appliances all pretty conventional. Could do the same with concrete block.

I was thinking that too...

The concrete lacks gravel which is a cost reducing material...
