There's a guy in my town that has gotten away with it for five years or more.
He also has it connected to septic and electric (and presumably water also).
I'm surprised codes enforcement hasn't harassed him yet, but it gives me hope for when I go that route... but it sure won't be in this town (land prices around here are astronomical). I'm trying to pick a county without codes or codes enforcement (which is the ideal way of doing it... which namely in the SE US region would be some counties in Georgia and Alabama and possibly Arkansas).
