There are a lot of interesting things happening. Step away from the pity party for a while and you might start noticing.

If it goes boom in a couple of weeks. Will it not take thousands of years for the light show to get here?
It already happened, we're just close to seeing how... Get rEADY for some beetle juice...

doubtful

if we are just seeing it's dimming and brightening recently

it is 600 light years away, so in 600 years from now you'd see it go supernova

The year 1420 A.D. was recent?

you know what I'm trying to say

don't be an asshole

That makes me miss solar warrior . Nobody’s talked about the Carrington effect in years.

It would mean that it went boom 600 years ago and we're just now seeing it

Yeah I was trying to be funny. I get the whole light year thing

They are tripping over their words. One minute the light takes hundreds of years to reach us, the next minute it may explode in a coupe of weeks which will be clearly visible.

Either way if it's the same size and brightness as the sun and visible in broad daylight for an extended period of time people are going to freak right out haha!

Yeah. Maybe some end of the world parties. I love a party with a great theme.

Just got to thinking about that strange radio illegal that is being detected.. Repeating every 16 days....

Anyone know what part of the galaxy it's being sent from.

What if it's an SOS ?

Scream1

If it's an s.o.s. I guess it is 600 yrs too late.

Channelings said it was supernova hundred of years ago, but they didn't say when so perhaps the wave comes now, perhaps in the years ahead. But is coming.

RE: ALERT: Betelgeuse star could go super nova boom in the next few weeks !
The effects of a close proximity nova event has the potential to spew high energy cosmic radiation toward our tiny outpost. Sure the light show would be spectacular but what of these other energies particularly in sight of our reduced magnetosphere (shields)?

Most of these high energy rads are quite harmful to carbon based lifeforms like gamma rays (cancer) and UVC (blindness) but there are some otherwise ignored energies that are beneficial in ways not considered by science.

Neutrinos will arrive before the light show (and all other EM fields) and could be potentially in the PEV (peta electron volt/ 1x10^12) range. These ghost particles could be our saving grace..so to speak.

Well anyway, we don't have to concern ourselves about this neighbouring red supergiant for another 100k years right? Wrong! Betelguise has collapsed, keep an eye on Icecube for reports of the neutrino streams and then apply the intent for a jump to light speed. Did someone mention May 15?

no....

if it does that before it goes nova, and we are seeing it now...

then we wouldn't see the full explosion for many years later, possibly hundreds

nope

you are reading misinformation

we are 650 light years away from it

too far away for its radiation to harm us

stop being a hard
