For the same reason that we cannot make a vaccine for the common cold, we will never make one for Coronavirus. The rapid mutations prevent nailing it down with a vaccine.

The news from MSM is way behind the reality, scientists suggest that BECAUSE the Coronavirus mutates slowly they can make a vaccine. That is now known to be false:

The coronavirus mutates more slowly than the flu — which means a vaccine will likely be effective long-term

All due respect, you're displaying one of the main detriments of "conspiracy" fundamentalism, particularly this toxic concept of "mainstream media".

Obviously there are newspapers and tv stations that are "mainstream". It's a viable term. But fundamentalists (whether political, religious, "conspiracy", etc...), you take it to a whole other level. You start putting up barbed wire fences, and suddenly anything printed or posted by someone on the "other side" is a "lie", regardless of content.

Meanwhile, a "liberal" media entity and a "conservative" media entity can report on a single scientific topic, and get all the basic facts correct. They SPIN IT differently, by emphasizing certain factors over others, or predicting certain benefits over others...

But science is still just science, and the basic scientific facts reported in those competing stories remain facts, regardless.

lol....UNLESS a fundamentalist gets involved.

YOU'VE already determined, in your head, to obliterate your objectivity, and automatically assume that literally anything you see presented by "the msm" is "a lie" by virtue of the fact that it's being reported by "the msm".

As a leftist, I may not like how Bretibart SPINS their journalism, but I concede that the facts they report are nearly always correct. They don't lie. Very few journalists/media entities ever outright lie. To suggest otherwise is just fear-mongering.

I judge news based on content. Not based on whether it's produced by likeminded people on my side of the barbed wire fence.

And, again, I have not seen a single credible source say that covid-19 is "rapidly mutating". People need to relax with that...

"It’s like in the great stories, Mr. Frodo...Full of darkness & danger...sometimes you didn’t want to know the end...But it’s only a passing thing, this shadow...Folk had lots of chances of turning back, only they kept going...they were holding on to something…That there’s some good in the world, Mr. Frodo, and it’s worth fighting for.”
