The dollar will eventually be devalued (and likely hyper-inflated) after the Fed ends up printing and doing massive helicopter drops. This will mean the end of the dollar as world reserve currency and the end of America's standard of living as it is currently known.. the end of the exorbitant privilege.

Eventually, after much pain for a number of years and with a much weaker dollar, America will probably become a top manufacturing powerhouse once again.

Nothing Is Working... What's Next For America?

Eventually, the coronavirus depression will subside. But what will America look like when it does?

Jim Bianco: "This virus is the event of this generation. In the future, we will refer to this as pre-virus, post-virus."

Jim Bianco at Bianco Research made a fantastic, educational presentation last week on where we are and where we are going.

The presentation is 1 hour and 8 minutes in length. Playing it will be one of the best 68 minutes you have ever spent.

I played it twice.

https://www.zerohedge.com/markets/nothin...xt-america

This is Hysteria -

Gotta learn to live with it like any disease. They already have a potential cure its over already...! There should never have been a lockdown in the first place. There are only 3 permutations of reason to implement a lockdown.

A - In order to bring about extinction of the virus (not going to happen).
B - To stop the spread of the virus within a time parameter that you see k a cure. This how longs a piece of string scenario is implausible.
C - You adapt and learn to live with it hoping they find the cure so we don't have to worry about it. (This is the permutation that all living beings have implemented for millions of years in regards to diseases.)
Of course being an intelligent organism we have so much more understanding of diseases and how they work than ever before and can implement methods that reduce the likelihood of transmission. Only the idiots thereby will predominantly get it that don't implement intelligent understanding. is that anything to care about - only in that if they get it we hope they learn from their mistakes, but what a good lesson.

Event of this generation?

That dummy does realize millennials lived through 9/11 right.

Millennials are tearing down the corrupt system, Plain and Simple.

I was a baby when World War II ended. I was a college freshman when President Kennedy was killed. I was in my early 20's (and in the military) during the early part of the Vietnam war. I was in my mid-fifties when the Twin Towers were attacked. I've seen a lot.

Certainly 9/11 had its ghastly repercussions, as did the Vietnam war; we lost fifty-eight thousand soldiers in Vietnam, and 9/11 cost us incalculable freedoms -- given the "homeland insecurity", rise of uber-nationalism and paranoia in government leading indirectly to the rise of the present occupant of the White House.

But COVID-19 is different. Vietnam, 9/11, or any other tragedy didn't destroy the economy as the COVID could. Neither Vietnam nor COVID poses the very real possibility of destroying the economies of the entire world. It isn't too far-fetched to realize that, since the economies of the entire world are intertwined, a collapse of this world economy could result in world-wide famines and wars as the world loses the ability to maintain a 21st century infrastructure and even civilization.

I'm not saying it will happen, but it could; and it won't be the deaths from the disease, but the long-term (five to ten years) effects that could bite us on the ass.

Once we get rid of the cancer of wall street and non-secured lending by the fed.

We are too greedy to let go. We can't shut down because the fear of losing money is too powerful. It reminds me of the monkey that was captured with a simple glass jar filled with some goodies. The jar is tied down. The monkey sees the goodies and puts its hand in there and grabs a bunch of goodies but can't pull its hand out because its fist is now too big to come out.

My old neighbor, Jack, used to say "GREED KILLS". I suppose that has application here.
