Yes I have two of these...

My friend has a truck and the poles are sideways...

There is a plastic block where the poles connect so it also mounts it...

And a fairly heavy bar across the top...

K, should still be able to boost his unit even if post are side mounted red - positive neg to any clean metal part of body but if his battery acid fluid levels are to low/ dry then it's pooched he probably should get a new battery seeing as that one is giving him probs inmho

It was tested and had a short...

A friends battery froze up...
So I went to help him...
The auto store said it might still be good leave it here for two hours and come back...'

So we went grocery shopping...

and to a Mc Donalds for lunch...

This Mc Donalds must be something new because you sat down to be served...

and the menu was tiny...

It looked like Mc Donalds was trying to be dennys...

So we went back and the battery was no good...

It had a short...

and it is like below zero here...

Very cold...

Anyways he is up and running again...

Cold weather and hot weather are hard on car batteries. If one can use a hydrometer to measure the acid-water in the battery. Sometime's one needs to cut the seal around the top.
