Be interesting to see if this really is the plan to sell the Brexit deal.

Tone is well, sh*t, we tried, this is technically Brexit. The pitch (all caps)? "HISTORIC MOMENT, PUT YOUR OWN INTERESTS ASIDE, PUT THE COUNTRY'S INTERESTS FIRST AND BACK THIS DEAL.

MPs will vote on Theresa May's Brexit deal on November 27

The plan claims Brexit Secretary Dominic Raab will trumpet a “moment of decisive progress” once cabinet reviews the deal, after which the proposed agreement will be leaked to journalists.

This will be followed by ten days of “sherpa meetings” with EU negotiators before May tells the CBI conference on November 19 that “we have delivered on the referendum”.

It is then thought the meaningful vote on the deal will be held on November 27 after weeks of campaigning and a visit to Scotland, the north of England, Northern Ireland - pencilled in for the same date as the DUP annual conference on Saturday November 24 - and Wales.

Ministers are expected to appeal to MPs to back the deal calling it a “historic moment” and calling on them to “put your own interests aside, put the country’s interests first and back this deal”.

"Today Prime Minister Theresa May announced that the current plan for Brexit isn't feasible and it must be delayed another 2 years. EU representatives stamped their feet and whined about how lame and weaselly the United Kingdom has become and demanded that the UK parliament make up it's mind."

"In other news parliament members hemmed and hawed about Brexit for 4 hours before breaking for fish and chips. They all agreed that the fish was a little dry, the first thing they had agreed upon in almost 2 years."

RE: Countdown to Brexit - 5 months
what exactly do you think is going to happen after brexit is official? You think you'll be able to go to the store and buy Vicodin over the counter for a low price and that rape will go down 6500 percent and taxes reduced to only 100 pounds a month combined? what exactly is your motive for being excited and into brexit

People over 65 are now just as worried about Brexit as young people

The survey found that some 61% of people over the age of 65 were worried about the impact of Brexit – which is a 34% increase on the first poll done in September 2016.

Overall, 62% of people in the UK say they are worried about the impact of Brexit, up from 39% in 2016.

Holyrood backing of a People’s Vote on Brexit deal

The Scottish Parliament has become the first UK legislature to back holding a public vote on the final terms of the Brexit deal.

Holyrood voted 66 to 28 in favour of a People’s Vote after it was put forward in a Liberal Democrat amendment to a government motion during a chamber debate on the Brexit threat to international scientific research in Scotland.

All Green MSPs and the majority of the SNP backed the Lib Dems in the face of unanimous Conservative opposition.

Two rebel Labour MSPs also gave their support, including the Scottish party’s former leader Kezia Dugdale.

Main point is- Uk leaves EU on March 29, 2019. And after that date will have to apply to rejoin in future if desired.

Maybe I can see what else will change. Cheers

Public now thinks EU referendum was “unfair and illegitimate”

The public is no longer convinced that the Brexit referendum was “fair and legitimate,” according to a new Deltapoll survey, exclusively for Prospect. Days after the controversial bank-roller of the Leave.EU campaign, Arron Banks, was referred to the National Crime Agency, it finds that 42 per cent of voters look back on the referendum as “unfair and illegitimate” against just 38 per cent who think the reverse.

More Britons (48 per cent) believe from what they have seen or heard of Brexit so far, that it is weakening Britain in the world, against the mere 27 per cent who believe it is making Britain stronger.

48 per cent, believe Britain might one day decide to do exactly that, than the 29 per cent who believe Britain will never want to rejoin.

Jo Johnson resigns from the Government. Agrees with brother Boris that current policy is hopeless, but draws a different conclusion. Decision should now go back to the people.

JPMorgan Leads $283 Billion Brexit Shift to Frankfurt

The major U.S. investment banks are planning to shift assets to Frankfurt because of Brexit, a move that would see their balance sheets in Germany grow to about 250 billion euros ($283 billion), several people briefed on the matter said.

Goldman Sachs Group Inc., JPMorgan Chase & Co., Morgan Stanley and Citigroup Inc. have presented plans to increase the assets held through their Frankfurt subsidiaries tenfold after the U.K.’s exit from the EU to comply with requirements, the people said.
