The PM has called MEPs to No 10. This is amid reports she plans to extend A50 (meaning her MEPs poss stand again in this year's Euro-elections).

No 10 insisting it's a regular meeting and this morning May spox told reporters gov policy on A50 hadn't changed.

Rumour doing the rounds in MEP Whatsapp groups is that the UK could request a one-year extension of A50.

Brexit: Article 50 set to be extended even if Theresa May wins vote on Tuesday, senior ministers admit

Senior Tories have accepted that the sheer amount of legislation parliament must pass to prepare for Brexit regardless of whether Ms May’s plans are approved, makes a March 29 withdrawal almost impossible.

But the inevitability of a delay to Brexit was highlighted by one cabinet minister who told The Independent that a short extension of Article 50 would probably be required to implement a deal that is approved.

The frontbencher said: “It will be difficult to pass the legislation by the end of March, even if the deal goes through.

Ministers sense 'strength of passion' aroused for new yacht Britannia

Ministers will say they are “listening to the arguments” for a new royal yacht Britannia to help boost the economy in the House of Commons on Tuesday.

Around 100 Tory MPs – one in three of the Parliamentary party – are backing a campaign for ministers to commission a panel to examine the case for a new ship.

Mark Garnier, an international trade minister, is expected to make clear that the Government is open to a new royal yacht during the debate in Westminster.

RE: Countdown to Brexit - 79 days
Brexit could kill a global sports success

Last week's Liverpool-Manchester City match, for example, was televised in more than 175 countries, accessible to more than 1 billion households. The players on the field represented 13 nationalities, coached by two of the best (and most charismatic) managers in the business, a German and a Catalan. They are employed by two of the most ambitious sports tycoons anywhere: Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan from Abu Dhabi and John Henry, the Bostonian financier who also owns the Boston Red Sox.

The English Premier League has thus become a metaphor and case study for globalization, as fans in stadiums across England and watching on TV around the world (including on NBC in America) are transfixed by a competitive league featuring the world's best players.

The Egyptian striker and prolific goal scorer Mo Salah is a hero in Liverpool these days, and fans love to chant that if he scores a few more, they will become Muslims too. Likewise, the multiracial English national team projects to the world (and to English youth) a profoundly diverse version of the country.

So the game of football, England's most important cultural export these days, provides an allegory of the benefits of openness. And yet, as of March 30, absent any new developments, the Premier League will be in peril, as many of its players will technically no longer be entitled to work in the United Kingdom. Indeed, the Football Association, which governs all levels of the sport in England, is pressing the Premier League to revisit and reimpose stricter limits on the numbers of foreign players to conform with the spirit of Brexit.

EU say they won't accept a 2nd referendum as they know May's proposal is such a good deal for them at the expense of the UK and UK taxpayers.

Deliberate tactic.
To run the clock down.

They will be judged for their actions.
