UK Prime Minister Theresa May tells people to prepare for the prospect of "no deal" with the EU, stressing that "no deal is better than a bad deal" in a statement given at Downing Street.

RE: Calmdown to Brexit
Was talk of an Ukraine style agreement.
Seems more like Donbass style economic dead zone.

Shorter May on Brexit stalemate:
- No to Norway-style deal
- No to NI staying under EU econ rules
- ‘No deal is better than a bad deal’
- ‘I will not overturn the result of the referendum, nor will I break up my country’
- Wants new proposals from EU

In amongst all this dreadful Tory disaster, it’s worth remembering that Jeremy Corbyn called for Article 50 to be triggered the day after the 2016 referendum.

24 Jun 2016 - Jeremy Corbyn has said Article 50 must be invoked immediately.

The only remotely workable way to do Brexit is to stay in the single market and customs union. If PM not prepared to do that, Brexit shouldn’t happen. ‘No deal’ or ‘no detail‘ Brexit simply not acceptable - especially for Scotland, where we did not vote for this.
