'Keep moving!' Wild moment lawyer couple brandish an AR-15 and a handgun at BLM protesters marching past their mansion in an upscale St. Louis neighborhood
Quote:Twitter video shows lawyers Patty and Mark McCloskey aiming weapons at peaceful protestors who were walking by their home in St. Louis

The married couple came out of their house armed on Sunday to prevent protesters from walking onto their property

Mark held a large assault weapon while his wife Patty held a handgun

The protesters were en route to Mayor Lyda Krewson's home

They were going to demand her resignation after she released names and addresses of residents who suggested defunding the police department

Is it legal for homeowners to brandish AR-15s at people walking past their homes?

It is a fine thing to be honest, but it is also very important to be right. - Winston Churchill

Not until a clear/imminent threat is apparent. At least 1 of the protestors had a weapon. But I don't think any of them got close enough to be considered a threat. Those rules change once they're in their own home though. Castle Doctrine/stand your ground state. But that doesn't extend out into the street within view of the public. Not in Missouri at least.

Great movie and great scene, that's how it should be since you especially want the police to be defunded.

The angry mob of rioters broke through the gate of the gated community - they were already on private property and everyone should assume they were there to "burn sh*t down" like they always do.

Theyre on their property ya dolt.

Going outside and exposing themselves to the mob like they did was an incitement and it was stupid. From a survival point of view. Not even talking about law. If one of them meant him or her dead, they just gave them the perfect opportunity. Too much martyr going on there for me. The upstairs in the home gives a huge advantage. SELF-DEFENSE. I guess a lot of people need to take classes in it.

Neither of them looks like they know what they're doing. I would have done that from inside the house without making a scene. Better defensively and more discreet. They've just made themselves future targets and shown their capabilities.
