The Trump administration is gearing up to take an official stance on prescription drug prices — here’s what to expect

Lydia Ramsey Pflanzer, Jun 19, 2017

The Trump administration is getting ready to put out an executive order on drug pricing that might look a lot different from President Donald Trump's earlier remarks about the pharmaceutical industry.

Trump has said that drugmakers are "getting away with murder," and has expressed an interest in negotiating drug prices, something the government isn't allowed to do for Medicare and Medicaid.

Later in January, Trump met with the heads of pharma companies, where he reiterated his interest in bringing drug prices down in the US. In March, Trump also tweeted that he's working on "a new system where there will be competition in the drug industry." Since then, Trump hasn't said much on the topic.

The executive order, however, might be a lot more in favor of drug companies than Trump's previous comments have been, according to reports from Kaiser Health News and Politico.

The "Drug Pricing and Innovation Working Group," a group of officials from the Trump administration, have been meeting every two weeks to talk about drug pricing. The group's led by Joe Grogan, an associate director at the Office of Management and Budget who up until March worked for Gilead Sciences... https://www.businessinsider.com/drug-pri...ion-2017-6

Dont forget HCQ was only .10 per dose, then it was 1.00 per dose, next it will be $10.00 per dose, until they outlaw it, then it goes for $100 or more a dose.

How do the Lupus and RA sufferers feel about this turn of events?

At least they are safe from the Virus, until their not.

Thanks to all of you for your informative posts. They just strengthen my resolve to seek prevention instead waiting for their vaccine solution. There are lots of things we can do on our own without the help of those "genius" scientists. At the ripe old age of 85, supposedly one of those at risk people, I'll take my chances, and die on my own terms rather than fall into the hands of the medical profession. So far, so good.

Thank God for the internet! Knowledge is power.

"Positions on health issues

Mother Jones, discussing AAPS's journal (called the Journal of American Physicians and Surgeons), writes,

The publication's archives present a kind of alternate-universe scientific world, in which abortion causes breast cancer and vaccines cause autism, but HIV does not cause AIDS. Cutting carbon emissions represents a grave threat to global health (because environmental regulation would make people poorer and, consequently, sicker) ... The organization opposes some of the most accepted practices in health care, including mandatory vaccine regulations. Peer review, a long-standing hospital practice that helps doctors learn from and prevent errors, is viewed as the source of great injustice by AAPS, which fights attempts to micromanage doctors with such bureaucratic nuisances as medical evidence about what works and what doesn't. Computers, too, are an ominous threat. The organization has resisted the use of electronic medical records—which, naturally, represents an attempt by the government to acquire masses of private information about American citizens. (AAPS' executive director claims to keep all her patient notes in longhand.)"

Agreed, but the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons only addressed the "arbitrary interference" with the use of hydroxychloroquine. As such, my post wasn't meant to dispute the price-gouging by Gilead or any profits made by the people who are supposed to represent our interests. It is unconscionable.

You watch whose pimping & profiting from vaccines & medications to treat covid-19 & previous virus pandemics, & it doesn't take a rocket scientist, to figure out, these same people more than likely had something to do with the creation & "accidental" release of covid-19. Problem, reaction, solution, is the only game they play. It's how they became wealthy.

It's not created. The brinwashing is created.
You're an idiot and you can't spell. Stupidity is easily created but hard to kill, huh?
