I think Biden is going to win Florida and that means the election will be over sooner and Trump will be forced to concede the election without huge court challenges.

At Least 67,000 Felons Registered To Vote In Florida, Group Says
While the number falls short of the estimated 1.4 million people the state voted to enfranchise in 2018, civil rights groups said it was still a historic moment.

"Around 67,000 felons who had their voting rights restored in Florida have since registered to vote, a justice reform group said Monday as the state began in-person voting.

Voters overwhelmingly approved an amendment to the Florida constitution in 2018 that restored voting rights to an estimated 1.4 million people who had completed “all terms” of their sentences.

The state had previously instituted a lifetime ban on voting for those with felony convictions, and while lawmakers and court challenges have added additional hurdles (including requirements those with criminal convictions pay court fines and fees), civil rights groups have hailed the shift as a historic means to enfranchise many in the swing state.

“There is no doubt in my mind that there are thousands upon thousands of energized and inspired returning citizens throughout the state that will not be denied, that will be a voice, and will have an impact in determining who wins Florida,” Desmond Meade, executive director of the Florida Rights Restoration Coalition, said Monday, according to Politico.

The GOP-controlled legislature passed a law in 2018 shortly after voters approved Amendment 4, which required those with criminal convictions to pay restitution, court fines or fees they owed before they could vote. The University of Florida later found nearly 775,000 felons who could qualify to vote owed money under the terms of the new law and would be ineligible if they couldn’t pay them off.

Voting rights groups challenged the law, equating it to a “modern-day poll tax,” but after some judicial tussling, the Supreme Court declined to hear the case this summer.

Florida had its first day of in-person voting on Monday, and state officials said it was the largest opening day record in history with more than 350,000 ballots cast. Vote by mail figures have also far exceeded expectations due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Florida said more than 2.5 million ballots have been mailed in thus far, compared to 1.2 million during the same timeframe in 2016.

The Florida Rights Restoration Coalition helped raise money to pay off fines and fees that could have prevented citizens from registering to vote before Florida’s Oct. 5 deadline. Politico noted Republicans had criticized that effort and a $16 million pledge by billionaire Mike Bloomberg, calling for a formal investigation."

https://www.huffpost.com/entry/florida-f...e9a5f2b639

Bloomberg paid off felons fees for them to hopefully vote democrat.
Nothing like a rigged election to keep the blood pumpin!

Many people including Mike Bloomberg donated money to get as many of these Florida citizen's fines paid off in time for this election after the people of Florida voted overwhelmingly to allow former convicts to vote.

That is fully legal and it promotes more inclusion in the democratic process.

I commend Bloomberg and the others that helped make this election include more eligible American citizens.

Since you are so confident now that Trump will lose, why not take it?
I can hook you right up with a paypal.
Or are you feeling NOT so confident?

Betting laws in NL have convinced D to tell people to not place bets at LOP.

I think it will be a HUGE BLUE WAVE in 2020,... just like I predicted the HUGE BLUE WAVE in the 2018 midterms elections correctly.

Everybody is tired of Trump's insidious blather and his massive $elf dealing and foreign corruptions and his attempts at the destruction of the American democracy for his own profits.

RE: BIG 100 Day Countdown to Trump's complete political defeat - BLUE WAVE UPDATES:
Trump begging Bill Barr to save him is a sign that his attempt to ‘corrupt the election’ is imploding: columnist

"Writing in the Washington Post this Tuesday, columnist Greg Sargent says that President Trump’s latest attempt to corrupt the election on his behalf is already imploding on him.

“Trump just went on “Fox & Friends” and called on Attorney General William P. Barr to launch some kind of investigation into the new pseudo-scandal involving Joe Biden and his son Hunter’s laptop that Trump and his propagandists have been hyping of late,” Sargent writes, adding that the spectacle amounted to Trump “practically pleading with Barr to salvage his reelection hopes” on national television.

Trump calling for a special prosecutor to investigate Hunter Biden is “deeply absurd” since Hunter Biden is a private citizen, Sargent writes. “But we can assume that Trump just wants Barr to announce some sort of investigation into this matter — just as he tried to strong-arm the Ukrainian president into doing, getting himself impeached — to cast a vague aura of corruption on the Bidens.”

All Trump’s latest scheme will do is end up demonstrating weakness and panic on his part, according to Sargent. “After all, on one front after another, previous efforts to corruptly use the government toward this end have collapsed.

RE: BIG 100 Day Countdown to Trump's complete political defeat - BLUE WAVE UPDATES:
Well there is no good way to spin this cold take on how Trump is doing. Scream1

Nobody cares what some obvious Russian/Rudy Giuliani planted BS, lies about Hunter Biden. And Trump is doing everything wrong, and is clearly losing because of that. Jhikpghf

GOP pollster Luntz blasts Trump campaign as worst he's ever seen

"Prominent Republican pollster Frank Luntz blasted President Trump and his campaign on Tuesday for focusing on Hunter Biden in the stretch run to Election Day, calling Trump’s campaign the worst he’s ever seen and saying the president’s advisers should be “brought up on charges of political malpractice.”

Speaking at a briefing for the British strategic advising company Global Counsel, Luntz said Trump’s advisers have “their heads up their asses” if they think Hunter Biden will be a winning issue for them.

“I’ve never seen a campaign more mis-calibrated than the Trump campaign. Frankly, his staff ought to be brought up on charges of political malpractice,” Luntz said.

“It is the worst campaign I’ve ever seen and I’ve been watching them since 1980. They’re on the wrong issues. They’re on the wrong message. They’ve got their heads up their assess. … Your damn job is to get your candidate to talk about things that are relevant to the people you need to reach. And if you can’t do your damn job then get out.”

The Trump campaign has been running ads and holding daily briefings to draw attention to allegations that Hunter Biden sought to profit off his father’s political connections.

Trump on Tuesday called on Attorney General William Barr to investigate Democratic nominee Joe Biden’s son before Election Day.

“We have got to get the attorney general to act,” Trump said, pointing to a story about Hunter Biden’s business dealings in the New York Post. “He’s got to act and he’s got to act fast.”

"This is major corruption and this has to be known about before the election,” Trump added.

The Post story, which other news outlets have been unable to confirm, alleged that Hunter Biden acted as an intermediary to arrange a meeting between his father, who was vice president at the time, and the Ukrainian gas firm Burisma Holdings.

The Biden campaign has said there was no meeting recorded on the former vice president’s official schedule. Other critics have suggested the story could be part of a Russian disinformation effort.

Regardless, Luntz, who was once the pollster for former Speaker Newt Gingrich, pointed to polls showing the economy and coronavirus are the issues voters care most about.

“Nobody cares about Hunter Biden … why is [Trump] spending all his time on him?” Luntz asked. “Hunter Biden does not help put food on the table. Hunter Biden does not help anyone get a job. Hunter Biden does not provide health care or solve COVID. And Donald Trump spends all of his time focused on that and nobody cares.”"

"Viral photos show McConnell picking up a face mask, revealing his right hand to be much darker than the rest of his body, as well as a bandaged thumb."

Last updated on October 22, 2020, at 5:36 p.m. ET

Mitch McConnell, the 78-year-old Senate Majority Leader currently running for reelection, is denying any health issues despite photos showing his hand bandaged and severely discolored.

On Wednesday, photos went viral of McConnell bending down to pick up a dropped face mask on Capitol Hill the day prior, revealing his right hand to be much darker than the rest of his body and that his thumb is bandaged.

McConnell's office did not respond to numerous requests for comment from BuzzFeed News about the health of the top Senate Republican, who is up for reelection in Kentucky in just under two weeks.

However, when asked by a reporter on Thursday about his health and the concerning photos of his hand, McConnell denied there was an issue.

"Do you have some kind of health issue?" asked Politico reporter John Bresnahan. "Everyone been's talking about your hands."
....................
"Of course not," replied McConnell.

RE: BIG 100 Day Countdown to Trump's complete political defeat - BLUE WAVE UPDATES:
Trump's horrible covid pandemic response and his innate unlikability is driving Mormons to vote democratic. Jhikpghf

For many conservative Mormons, Trump is too off-putting

"Los Angeles (AFP) - Mormons in the United States have traditionally been reliable Republican voters, but some members of the conservative church put off by President Donald Trump are switching sides and backing veteran Democrat Joe Biden.

Support for Trump among members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, which emphasizes family values and morals, is especially lagging among women.

Experts say that could have a significant impact in some key battleground states -- notably Arizona and Nevada, where Mormons represent six percent of the population.

"There are things about Biden that I don't agree with, but I think it's more important not to vote for Trump," said Melarie Wheat, a 36-year-old mother of five who lives in the western state of Utah, where the LDS Church is headquartered.

In 2016, Wheat voted for independent candidate Evan McMullin, who is Mormon, as she was put off by both Trump and his Democratic rival Hillary Clinton.

In the four years since, Trump has done little to change her initial opinion of him.

"I thought, well, maybe he'll get into office and he'll kind of tone it down and follow conservative policies and he'll be a good leader," she told AFP.

"But nope, that's who he was," Wheat added. "He likes to make fun of people and divide and he doesn't respect women. He doesn't respect refugees or immigrants or minorities."

Like Wheat, many other Mormons are fed up with Trump's rhetoric and behavior, which is at odds with the church's teachings on sex, foul language, empathy and humility.

Last month, McMullin -- who in 2016 finished third in the election in Utah behind Trump, but not far behind Clinton -- urged his followers to back Biden.

"A word to my fellow principled conservatives and Republicans: Voting for Biden doesn't mean you agree with every position he holds or that you can't oppose decisions he makes as president," he said in a Twitter post.

"It just means that you're prioritizing the Constitution, truth & decency in this election."

Republican Senator Mitt Romney, one of the Mormon church's most famous members who has repeatedly clashed with Trump, also said this week that his party's incumbent leader did not have his backing.

"I did not vote for President Trump," Romney, who cast his early ballot in Utah ahead of the November 3 contest, told CNN -- while refusing to say if he had backed Biden."

RE: BIG 100 Day Countdown to Trump's complete political defeat - BLUE WAVE UPDATES:
The whole world knows Trump is destined to be a loser-one termer. He is only speaking to his base the rest of the people hate his guts and hate his mass super spreading of covid-19. Scream1

Trump’s closing out the 2020 campaign by spreading COVID-19 around the country

"Donald Trump, desperate to recapture the magic that landed him in the White House in 2016, is planning to hold up to three rallies per day in the final days of the campaign. GOP strategists, reports The New York Times, “are deeply concerned” that his closing argument is focused on “entertaining and energizing his existing supporters while eschewing any concerted effort to find new ones — an approach that could cripple other Republicans running for office.”

The rest of us should be concerned too, for different reasons. The Washington Post reported that prior to a September 30 Trump rally in Duluth, Minnesota, the campaign “signed an agreement pledging to follow” state public health guidelines, which limit attendance at such events to 250 people. But “emails and other documents obtained by The Washington Post through open-records requests show that…local officials suspected the campaign would violate the agreement, but shied away from enforcing public health orders for fear of provoking a backlash.” In the end, 2,500 people crammed into an airport hangar, and 19 Covid-19 cases would later be traced to that and another Minnesota rally held earlier that month.

Trump’s return to the campaign trail with a dud of a rally in Tulsa, Oklahoma, was followed by a major spike in infections in the days and weeks that followed. And according to an analysis by USA Today, that wasn’t an outlier. Looking at county-level infection rates, they found that a number of places where Trump held rallies saw an increase in Covid-19 cases in the two weeks following the events than during the two weeks preceding them. And while Trump’s been campaigning as a new wave of Covid is breaking over the country, “even in states where cases were already rising, the spikes in at least four counties that hosted Trump rallies far surpassed their state’s overall growth rates.” These data don’t capture those who travel to another county to catch Trump’s schtick and then go home."

RE: BIG 100 Day Countdown to Trump's complete political defeat - BLUE WAVE UPDATES:
chuckle It is fun to see Trump lying all of the time to his followers, telling them his numbers are up and they are doing so well and expects to see a huge red wave and possible take the house back, then we find out he is telling the truth to his donors, telling them it is likely the Senate is going to go democratic and if the senate is doing that there is no way the house is going to be republican.

So the Trump/republicans are going to have not win back the house, they are going to lose the Senate and it sure is looking like Trump is going down also. Jhikpghf Cheer

Trump admits to donors it’s going to be tough for the Republicans to hold the Senate: report

"President Donald Trump spoke to Republican donors this week and revealed that he isn’t sure the GOP can hold the Senate, the Washington Post reported Saturday.

During the presidential debates this week, Trump attacked Biden for accepting the flood of campaign dollars coming in to support him. The average contribution to his campaign, former Vice President Joe Biden said, is $43. But Trump claimed he could be raising billions if he wanted to.

According to the Post, Trump was begging for cash by telling his donors that the Senate could be lost. Ironically, Trump also said during a campaign rally this week that the GOP would win the House, an even tougher lift for the Republican Party, which is expected to still have a net loss of congressional seats.

“I think the Senate is tough actually. The Senate is very tough,” Trump told donors at the Nashville Marriott, an attendee said. “There are a couple (sic) senators I can’t really get involved in. I just can’t do it. You lose your soul if you do. I can’t help some of them. I don’t want to help some of them.”

Most candidates don’t do fundraising this late in the election cycle; they go on the road to directly connect with voters. However, Trump blew through $1 billion in campaign dollars with two months left in the election and desperately needs more money to get his ads back on television.

“The GOP’s ‘firewall’ has started to crumble, with Republicans all but sure that they’ll be competing to win runoffs in Georgia in January, for example,” said the Post. “Additionally, Republicans suddenly find themselves scrambling to save once safe seats, including top Trump ally Sen. Lindsey O. Graham (SC), who is being vastly outraised by Democratic opponent Jaime Harrison. Graham is still expected to win, according to South Carolina political observers.”

Senate Republicans preparing for ‘potentially catastrophic’ election blowout with 12 seats now in play: report

"What was once four or five Republican seats in the Senate that appeared endangered or already lost on November 3rd has grown to a dozen, reports Politico as top GOP officials find themselves on their heels on multiple fronts.

According to the report, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) could be looking at his last days controlling the Senate that has been notable more for packing the courts than passing legislation that helps the country during his tenure.

While Republican Senate seats in Maine, Colorado, North Carolina and Arizona already appear to be lost causes for the GOP leadership, Politico’s James Arkin reported that more GOP senators are finding themselves “scrambling” in more states than the party had planned for.

“Republicans are scrambling resources into red and purple states alike — from Kansas and South Carolina to Iowa and North Carolina — cutting down Democrats’ massive financial edge and hoping for a late-breaking turn in their favor, similar to four years ago. But their defensive posture underscores just how broad the playing field is, with nearly a dozen Republican senators in various levels of danger, and only two Democratic seats at risk,” wrote Arkin.

According to Josh Holmes, a top adviser to McConnell, all is not lost and the party won’t be wiped out before cautioning, “the low-water mark is potentially catastrophic.”

“What was a significant downturn for most Republican candidates over the last couple weeks has sort of rebounded a bit,” Holmes elaborated. “All of these competitive races are within the margin of error, and you could have a whole bunch of scenarios play out on Election Day. The options are basically endless.”

Noting that “Democratic campaigns have spending advantages over Republicans in 12 of the 13 most competitive states,” the report goes on to point out that the GOP is shoring up campaigns in Iowa, Montana, Alaska, South Carolina and Texas."
