Boy you are in really bad form today.

1. You are being intellectually dishonest. This article has much information details that were not in the OP article.

2. The author of the article is not the one that used the term 'forced sterilization', they credit who used that term. The article over all is very fair and is not loaded many people are upset and the article is up front about that, as they should be.

These certainly could be 'forced sterilization' just because that would not be the usual sterilization process does not mean these were ill-informed or completely uninformed victims of surgeries that are in effect 'forced sterilization'.

A hysterectomy causing sterilization is sterilization.

3. No we don't know many details which is the reason for calls for investigation of this ICE detention center and the Dr. and the processes used to get informed consent from these detainees. Not having the full information does not mean their is not serious medical malpractice or actual illegal 'forced sterilizations' being performed by this Dr. or by the detention facility officials.

4. There are many historical accounts of "forced sterilizations' of minority women for racist reason, totally unrelated to payments of any kind. This kind of thing has happened in the past to women from Puerto Rico (as the article notes) and to native American women and in other cases.

For all we know this Dr. who seems from the details to be very bad at his job (taking out the wrong ovary in one case and that woman was not fully under anesthesia!)

You are so quick to defend this ICE detention center when it is clear from the details we do have that something very strange is happening to the women detainees.

I would say they are in fine form.

While you are even quicker to condemn them, brand them racist, and move on to punishment.

Above you we have someone willing to leave the door open to wrong doing they just want vital information before they do so.

While with you we have the doctor(s), the hospital, and everyone up to and including Trump already found guilty.

However you too are in fine form.
Your performance outrage is finely honed and well practiced to the point it looks effortless.

1. I did not say this was racism as a motivating factor, I said that could be a reason. I did not brand anybody as racist. I did not "punish" anybody. That is BS.

2. Pioneer Sprit was the one dismissing this story twice, now it is national news and it will be investigated. She blamed the article writers for not giving her statistical information on the numbers of surgeries, etc.. That is not their job, they were reporting correctly that there seems to be a serious problem going on at this ICE detention center.

There is nothing wrong in wanting more information that is what these investigative reporters are seeking by bringing the situation to light.

3. I didn't find anybody guilty, Please GFY where did I say anybody was guilty of anything?

4. Given your ignorance and lies about my motivation and actions, I could care less what you think of my form.

1. You just put the racist label right next to it not on it.... Sure he man.
2. They did not dismiss it. They simply practiced good reading comprehension and notice what is being left out and what evidence or lack of there is.
3. So semantic argument? Do you really want to pretend you are not attacking people and claiming they are "dismissing" these accusations when they are explicitly asking for more evidence because you're open minded?
4. Yup. I'm dumb and a liar... But not guilty of being dumb or a liar because you didn't explicitly use the term.

Another round of dishonest / disingenuous tripe from the resident master.

I think it is safe to say, that we are, in fact, the baddies. Those doctors need to lose their licenses and lots of people need to go to prison for human rights violations.

New article names doctor in ICE/hysterectomy scandal (NBC via Yahoo News)

"Lawyers allege abuse of migrant women by gynecologist for Georgia ICE detention center'

NBC News•September 15, 2020

"WASHINGTON -- A nurse who worked at an Immigration and Customs Enforcement detention center in Irwin County, Georgia and four lawyers representing clients there are claiming that immigrant women are routinely being sent to a gynecologist who has left them bruised and performed unnecessary procedures, including hysterectomies.

The doctor, who three lawyers identified as Dr. Mahendra Amin, practicing in Douglas, Georgia, has continued to see women from the Irwin County Detention Center for the past several years despite complaints from his patients.

Amin was the subject of a Justice Department investigation in 2015 for making false claims to Medicaid and Medicare. As a result, he and other doctors involved paid $525,000 in a civil settlement, according to the Justice Department.

The lawyers identified the doctor after a whistleblower complaint to the Inspector General for the Department of Homeland Security was filed by Dawn Wooten, who worked as a nurse inside the facility. She said in there complaint that detainees were not getting COVID-19 tests and other needed medical care.

Wooten worked full time as a licensed practical nurse at the Irwin County Detention Center in Ocilla, Georgia, until being demoted in July.

Real classy, dude.
Are all Americans like you or are you an exception?
The civilised world needs to know.

We all know you hate America and Americans.
Your petty hatred is not anything the civilised world cares about.

As an American, I say Spiddy is exactly right to feel that way. We're a country of disgusting, violent, partisan hypocrites who can see anything but red and blue. We deserve what's coming.

reminder that this sh*t didnt start under trump but it is instead a continuation of racist policies conducted by the United States for a very long time against women primarily WoC

1 in 3 women in puerto rico were sterilized between the 1930s and 1970s

State mandated sterilization of women for various bullshit reasons in various places including Indiana and North Carolina

Between 3,000 and 70,000 native american women were sterilized, some as young as 11. Some went in for tonsillectomies and were sterilized

California was sterilizing prisoners thru coercion as far back as 2010

The way you wrote that implies the program began in 2010.

The "various bullshit reasons" were basically "inmates or patients of public-funded institutions that were judged to be 'mentally defective or feeble-minded' by authorities. "

I guess they should have stayed home?

What irks me only is that tax dollars are paying for this sh*t.

These women pop out babies like nobodies business. Sterilizing them means we won't have to pay for the little bastards food, housing, and medical expenses so it's a win.

DIAF fukwit !
