RE: Biden spent months saying Trump had no Covid plan... Biden's plan:
Why would Biden want to change a trajectory that shows it is in decline?
Pittsburgh-Area Doctors Feel Guarded Optimism As Coronavirus Cases Decline Across The Country
Syndicated Local – CBS Pittsburgh 16 hrs ago
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — Coronavirus cases climbed in November and December, and now they’re on the way down, creating some guarded optimism among local doctors.
“The surge that we saw after Thanksgiving up to about around Christmas, we saw close to 400 patients in Allegheny Health Network,” said Dr. Tariq Cheema, a pulmonary critical care doctor at Allegheny Health Network. “We predicted another surge after Christmas and the New Year holiday. We were looking at maybe 600, 700 patients, and that didn’t happen.”
The number of infections hit an all-time high at 132,00 in early January. In 46 states, cases are now decreasing, relieving some pressure on hospitals.
“As of this morning, our numbers are way down. Probably even less than 50 percent of where they were,” Dr. Cheema says.

RE: Biden spent months saying Trump had no Covid plan... Biden's plan:
Quote:I have already intimated to you the danger of parties in the State, with particular reference to the founding of them on geographical discriminations. Let me now take a more comprehensive view, and warn you in the most solemn manner against the baneful effects of the spirit of party generally.
This spirit, unfortunately, is inseparable from our nature, having its root in the strongest passions of the human mind. It exists under different shapes in all governments, more or less stifled, controlled, or repressed; but, in those of the popular form, it is seen in its greatest rankness, and is truly their worst enemy.
The alternate domination of one faction over another, sharpened by the spirit of revenge, natural to party dissension, which in different ages and countries has perpetrated the most horrid enormities, is itself a frightful despotism. But this leads at length to a more formal and permanent despotism. The disorders and miseries which result gradually incline the minds of men to seek security and repose in the absolute power of an individual; and sooner or later the chief of some prevailing faction, more able or more fortunate than his competitors, turns this disposition to the purposes of his own elevation, on the ruins of public liberty.
Without looking forward to an extremity of this kind (which nevertheless ought not to be entirely out of sight), the common and continual mischiefs of the spirit of party are sufficient to make it the interest and duty of a wise people to discourage and restrain it.

The vile spirit of parties keeps either party from ever telling the truth. That is why when president of the opposite party does something it is wrong no matter what. Both sides do it. The citizens deserve better leaders, ones which are about the business of the people, not the business of the party.

RE: Biden spent months saying Trump had no Covid plan... Biden's plan:
Quote:It serves always to distract the public councils and enfeeble the public administration. It agitates the community with ill-founded jealousies and false alarms, kindles the animosity of one part against another, foments occasionally riot and insurrection. It opens the door to foreign influence and corruption, which finds a facilitated access to the government itself through the channels of party passions. Thus the policy and the will of one country are subjected to the policy and will of another.

I heard on the radio, his one million a day goal was around 92% being done before he entered office.
Also out here in California they think it may take until June now to get everyone 65 and older vaccinated.
Going to take awhile.

Some of the things I have recently come across in the news... may become a factor that shifts things a bit on the calendar of projections and trajectories and predictions and crystal balls and and and...
As far as I recall, Trials are to begin combining Oxfords vaccine with Russia's Sputnik. Oxfords is critter based while Russia's is Human based, something like that... It may speed up what comes to market and is readily available?
And in the age where Govts are losing control to Corporations and private businesses and entities, special interest groups and anyone else not elected...So it appears... Even professional sports teams are getting on board the ship of taking over the role of govts... I see this: A video accompanying the article, captioned "Biden unveils plan to curb Cov19 in his first 100 days in office".. And NOW Biden says he cant do jack diddly squat? Sup wit all dat?
Fed-Up Executives Plot a Faster Covid-19 Vaccine Rollout Updated Jan. 21, 2021 8:03 am ET
Honeywell CEO and other leaders say their operational know-how can help jump-start America’s vaccine administration
Executives from an industrial conglomerate, a health system and a professional sports ownership group met up this month in their Charlotte, N.C., neighborhood to walk and vent. The national rollout of Covid-19 vaccine doses, they agreed, wasn’t going fast enough.
By the end of the stroll, they had sketched the outline of a plan to speed things up: Combine the logistics technology of Honeywell International Inc., the expertise of health system Atrium Health, and the real estate of Tepper Sports & Entertainment to inoculate thousands more people a day than the average North Carolina vaccination site currently does.
