It's definitely a need, and while I think it probably should be a right, capitalism feels it's not because someone frequently needs to perform a service to get/provide said clean water.

This is f*cking disgusting.

Mind blowing Nestle CEO says "WATER IS NOT A HUMAN RIGHT" BUT A "FOODSTUFF

Nestlé just sold their US Michigan Bottled Water operations in Michigan sold to a NY private equity firm for $4.3 Billion.

they will win this argument. Not because its moral but because it has legal legs.

Is food a human right?

one can argue it is the same as water. Man can not live without food. WE pay for food. WE always have.

It is believed when the Mayan empire ran out of food is when it had it's major collapse. When people no longer have access to food and water, is when the whole game of pretend called civilization really breaks down.

The Mayans basically killed themselves by tapping into Aquifers as open pits which dried up the water table.

for those who argue that clean drinking water isnt a human right i say fine , since it isnt that important you can be the first to give it up .

i'll get back to you in a couple years (provided youre still living) and see if youve changed your mind in the interim period.

Might Makes Right

So actually, water isn't a human right. It is a necessity was always destined to become a commodity.

Once long ago, SALT was more valuable than gold.

Claiming water isn't a right, doesn't mean that person needs to give up water. It just means they need to be powerful enough to possess it for use.

Also...you lake has been poisoned by some corporation that dumped toxic waste somewhere in that lakes water table.

This actually happened in West Virginia when a coal company sold an abandoned coal mine to store garbage from New York/New Jersey.

We’ve been drinking nasty polluted/tainted water since we climbed down out of the trees in Africa 2.5 million years ago and we’re still here.

My animal friends won't touch distilled drinking
water if there are mud puddles around.
They skim a swipe right off the top , already knowing
the safe zone.

What do you think?

Unequivocally.

I can't see how anyone could think otherwise. Frankly, I find the notion beyond immoral- it's barbaric.

It's definitely a need, and while I think it probably should be a right, capitalism feels it's not because someone frequently needs to perform a service to get/provide said clean water.

Actually, capitalism feels you're not worthy of clean drinking water if no one is able to profit off of the service being provided to you.

The services to provide clean drinking water can be provided all day everyday, without anyone having to profit at all. And the workers are not exploited, because no one is exploiting them. No one "owns" access to that water.

The need for services to provide clean drinking water is self-evident. It's necessary. It's just important to always remember that profits are not.

Profits are only necessary to very few people. We would still have clean drinking water without those people.

One of countless reasons I am an anti-capitalist.

No, its different from a human right - instead, it's a societal obligation.
