sure, sure, rub it in chuckle

we'll get there...patiently waiting

I remember 2012...the ice didn't go out until the day before the fishing opener, which I think was May 11. I had a talk about this subject with a lake dwelling citizen not too long ago. Last year, however, the ice was out the second week of April.

Hehehe I had to tease you guys a bit.

I was born and raised in the frozen lands where the lakes would typically stay frozen until mid May or so. I had to get the hell outta there and don't miss it at all.

In most of southern BC the large, low lakes don't even freeze these days.. though they used to back in the old days.

Sounds heavenly...I've been thinking about leaving the frozen tundra recently, now that my kids are grown. Leaving them would be hard for me, only thing keeping me planted.

My mom lives in SC now and is always telling me how fabulous the weather is and I should move there. chuckle

very tempting sometimes

You would love it, I'm sure. Being close to your mom as she ages might be nice, too. Remember that it's only a quick plane ride to reunite with people, and that the time you spend together, though limited, is always memorable and quality time. You seem to cherish it more because you don't take it for granted.

Also with Skype and whatnot you can really stay connected..

It's a good idea.

Little do most realize, but they're going to have to do just that in the future. Pensions are insolvent and there's trouble brewing for the entitled generations..

Yess!! It IS The Way of the Future!!

Yes, our kids are busy with their own lives, but that doesn't mean we need to rely solely on The "Dread" Government! We can help each other!!

UNLESS "they" make it illegal because they HATE us!!!

Lmao
