The Nature of Evil
Defining evil is a subjective, personal, emotional, clinical, political, and judgemental issue.
Yet is it an external force outside each and everyone of us? Influencing our actions, always seeking, always listening, always destroying?
What is the nature of evil? Will it every be cast out from our lives so it no longer exists?

No.
Depends on the individual you're asking to define it.
Depends on how you define it.

Not at all. Just their circumstances.
Darkness is the absent of light. However, we have false illuminations created by satisfaction of our primal instincts, which have allowed such repugnant essences to make ourselves their home. This is the hard problem of salvation. There's a quick fix of course, but all who haven't abandoned what they themselves once were are working on it, assuredly.

RE: The Nature of Evil
Remembering evil, thinking about evil, is evil.
Seeing evil, hearing evil, tasting evil, etc. is evil.

good people can do evil things.
And evil entities can enter and/or influence people at their weakest.

"Gradually it was disclosed to me that the line separating good and evil passes not through states, nor between classes, nor between political parties either -- but right through every human heart -- and through all human hearts. This line shifts. Inside us, it oscillates with the years. And even within hearts overwhelmed by evil, one small bridgehead of good is retained. And even in the best of all hearts, there remains ... an unuprooted small corner of evil." -- Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn
"I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things." -- Isaiah 45:7

look/seek from within, accepting/acknowledging such "answers" without referencing self, you are merely accepting/reflecting someone's else "truths"~

using a quantum bible change to make your point just makes you look foolish. If you had a relationship with God, you would know that originally said trouble, not evil. God allows trouble to occur in our lives if it serves the purpose of making us stronger. Like firing clay to make pottery, yeah?

Cast it out? You can't cast it out. Evil is the opposite of good, the other side of the coin, and without it good cannot exist.
It is a fine thing to be honest, but it is also very important to be right. - Winston Churchill
