Massive asteroid big enough to 'destroy a city' skimmed by yesterday at just half the distance between Earth and the moon - and scientists only noticed it HOURS

An asteroid traveling at 66,174 miles an hour came close to Earth yesterday just hours after it was noticed.

The asteroid is named 2018 GE3, and it was first observed at Arizona's Catalina Sky Survey on Saturday night.

Soon after it was noticed, it skimmed past Earth, getting within 119,500 miles of our planet.

Does anyone believe a word of this?

More likely they've been watching it for months or years and just shut up and waited to see if it would impact.

They were using OUR tax dollars to track it and weren't planning to tell us or give us any warning whatsoever, just go hide in their bunkers untill it hit then arrange for someone to clean up the mess afterwards.

RE: Massive asteroid big enough to 'destroy a city' skimmed by yesterday at just
verified if they mean 2018 GE3

1/2 LD

http://spaceweather.com/

"SURPRISE ASTEROID FLYBY: With little warning, a relatively large asteroid flew through the Earth-Moon system on April 15th only 192,200 km (0.5 LD) from our planet. 2018 GE3 was discovered by the Catalina Sky Survey approaching Earth on April 14th. Hours later, amateur astronomer Michael Jäger of Weißenkirchen Austria video-recorded the space rock rushing through the southern constellation Serpens:"

Then they have a movie clip of it going by. This webpage changes daily though so check archives for today's date (16th) if viewing at a later date.

then they say:

"According to wikipedia, 2018 GE3 is the largest known asteroid to pass that close to Earth in observational history," says Jäger. "It was shining like a 13th magnitude star at the time of my observations."

and more ...

65meters is 213.254593 feet

That would certainly be an event that would wipe out a load of people even if it splashed in an ocean.
