My New Plants
Advertisement
After I accidentally drowned and killed my baby roses I decided to get some low light plants

I got a Peace Lily plant, Myrtle tree and unknown purple flowers!

I’ve had them for about 2 weeks and all 3 plants are actually growing!!!

I water and feed them based on their needs instead of schedule like I did with the roses and it seems to be working!

The apartment also looks a lot better with plants too!

Do you guys have any plants?

RE: My New Plants
You have to be careful with overwatering. The roots need to breath and fungus can attack them if they stay water logged.

When they are big enough to repot coir is a good growing medium that's hard to overwater, or pearlite traps oxygen in the soil and vermiculite promotes good drainage.

Also get a cheap ph meter to chech your soil, tap water can lead to mineral buildup/ph problems.

Good luck with those nice looking plants.

Very nice plants, Chris. I think your purple one is an African Violet.

RE: My New Plants
Be careful with any plant looking like that. Water hemlock is smaller and super common on road ditches.
