Are you a fan of your forum becoming a US political forum?

Because it did chuckle

Some balance would be nice.. whatever it takes to achieve that balance will be what it will be.

political threads need a subforum. the religion subforum is perfect but most dont realize how political views are religious views.

who agrees that politcal subforum may be more beneficial to LoP than not?

what a stupid idea- the whole forum is political you azzwipe

VERY stupid idea.

I'm one of the bigger politics talking offenders and would be just fine if it were moved to it's own sub forum.

I think we should call it the shithole. In fact I'll name my political thread folder in my browser to the Shithole!

Well, what about more selective merging then? For instance, all the shithole comment threads. Or when there's a new tweet by trump there's all of a sudden 20 threads about it within 10 minutes?

FWIW, i probably wouldnt have suggested this had there not been one already.

perhaps renaming the existing one to something like "religion and politics" would suffice?

only a suggestion boss, thanks for chiming in

Possibly. Good topics get knocked down quick because there's 100s of posts on the same topic every day. ( US politics)

this x100, it would open up the forum so much in terms of things discussed. it would be an all around blessing in so many ways.

valid point, would you instead agree that a non-political subforum for all other stuff would be beneficial?

Nah, I thrive on chaos.
I like the mixture that the front page offers.
We are a little overburdened with political threads right now but given the circumstances that's hardly a surprise.
it's constantly overburdened with political threads AND YOU KNOW IT

Seem to work just fine in regards to religious topics. No reason to think it wouldn't work just as well with politics is there?

RE: political thread subforum
I think that would be a bad idea.
That would make it take, more, time, effort, and clicks,
To scan the forum.
And some topics are mixed..
'Space alien elected to Congress, is prejudiced against eartjhlings!'
That would be of interest to both camps.
I think that this proposal would frustrate most users.
I know it would frustrate me.

If someone does not want to see a political topic, they need not click on that thread.

What if members could filter their content by category? Maybe guests could have a limited function of that too.
