Good idea in principle, but it would never be enforced, much like the religious subforum.

It will never happen because the majority of this forum is Merkin and that's all they talk about is their politics. Their country. Their military. Their politics. Their country. Their military... oh, and how much better they are than the rest of the world.

Maybe a murrikan subforum then? chuckle

I don't see too many religious threads these days the odd one now and again, which is quickly moved to the sub forum. It quell'd the religion wars maybe it would quell the political war that is raging on, or at least lead to containment of it.

RE: political thread subforum
most of the political threads can be found on yahoo, msm, google anyway
so a subforum would be a good place for them to be put instead of main page forum &
opening up the main page for other subjects like when LOP first started

people left when politics took over
bet they would come back if politics went into a subforum
all politics not just american

Nah, I thrive on chaos.
I like the mixture that the front page offers.
We are a little overburdened with political threads right now but given the circumstances that's hardly a surprise.
it's constantly overburdened with political threads AND YOU KNOW IT

Firstly, it has already been pointed out that several threads are generated from every drip of pol hack news.
Many of them could be merged without issue.
Secondly, and purely selfishly. Lops front page is my barometer of the loon zietgiest.
Mess with it too much and I can't see at a glance what y'all worked up about today.

political threads need a subforum. the religion subforum is perfect but most dont realize how political views are religious views.

who agrees that politcal subforum may be more beneficial to LoP than not?

Works in theory but not in practice. Look at all the religious rubbish we still see on the front page.

Too hard for the mods to keep up with.

Having said that, the flat earth thread should be in the religious sub-forum. Why isn't it?
