Terraform Mars
start now

Mars will always have too little gravity.
Mars will always have less solar energy per unit area.

Venus does not have those unresolvable problems.

Venus is also much closer in travel time
And you can travel to Venus more frequently

We should probably engage in a Massive Relocation Effort!
To Move those poor poor natives to a safe location.

Hopefully we will have a "Star Trek" mentality by then.

But, your right, it will probably be more of a "Napoleon" mentality. Bummer! that is un-inspiring.

Humans are an Invasive Species.
So Yah, We Should Know.
Its kind of a NoBrainer.

eh, why shouldn't we be invasive? especially if there is just lifeless resources in this galaxy for us to exploit? What is the harm?

That may be a hasty, and possibly hazardous, presumption.

Life's Building Blocks 'Abundant in Space'
By Bjorn Carey 18 October 2005

The idea that comets and meteorites seeded an early Earth with the tools to make life has gained momentum from recent observations of some of these building blocks floating throughout the cosmos.

Scientists scanning a galaxy 12 million light-years away with NASA's Spitzer Space Telescope detected copious amounts of nitrogen containing polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PANHs), molecules critical to all known forms of life.

PANHs carry information for DNA and RNA and are an important component of hemoglobin, the molecule that transports oxygen through the body. They also make chlorophyll, the main molecule responsible for photosynthesis in plants, and – perhaps most importantly – they're the main ingredient in caffeine and chocolate.

"There once was a time that the assumption was that the origin of life, everything from building simple compounds up to complex life, had to happen here on Earth," said study leader Doug Hudgins of Ames Research Center. "We've discovered that some very biologically interesting molecules can be formed outside our earthly environment and delivered here."

Wherever there's a planet ...

While organic compounds have been discovered in meteorites that have landed on Earth, this is the first direct evidence for the presence of complex, important biogenic compounds in space. So far evidence suggests that PANHs are formed in the winds of dying stars and spread allover interstellar space.

"This stuff contains the building blocks of life, and now we can say they're abundant in space," Hudgins said. "And wherever there's a planet out there, we know that these things are going to be raining down on it. It did here and it does elsewhere." https://www.space.com/1686-life-building...space.html

Amino acid detected in space
11 Aug 2003

The idea that primitive life on Earth may have been seeded by a comet or asteroid impact is controversial. Since it was suggested more than 40 years ago, however, increasingly complex organic molecules have been discovered in space. Now astronomers have detected an amino acid - one of the building blocks of proteins - in interstellar dust clouds in our galaxy. The discovery of glycine in space suggests that interstellar molecules may have played a pivotal role in the prebiotic chemistry of the Earth... https://physicsworld.com/a/amino-acid-de...-in-space/

It would be more cost effective and beneficial to terraform Earth.

Why do floods occur when there are plentiful catchments, and droughts and wildfires run rampant?

The mouth of the Mississippi is the largest waste of fresh water in North America.
The volume of fresh water that enters the Gulf of Mexico every hour can fill Lake Mead from empty to max capacity in 47 hours.

The US should fill Lake Lahontan, and while they are at it, the Salton Sea and Death Valley. Even though they will be saline lakes, evaporation will create rainfall.

When We Find other Life Forms! Those Poor Poor Natives will have to be relocated to a safe place.
Or we could just leave them alone and go elsewhere like we do with the Sentinelese.

And how do you propose to kick start the core and therefore the magnetic field?

Send hundreds/thousands of probes that only pump out low frequency radio waves. It would create an artificial magnetosphere. Still though, would need to find a way to bring ice asteroids to Mar's, to fill it up with water..
