I don't know what strain it was but I enjoyed this thread. EVERYONE at my work decided to share the flu with each other. Usual impact time was 3-5 days out and about double that for total recovery depending on person. I got over it in a day and a half. Fully. I'm going to use this thread and start telling everyone I cured my flu with cigarettes to enjoy the look they throw my way.

WHAT IS "IN" ACCORDING TO YOU??
CANNABIS AND HEROINE??
WOOOOOW!!!
THINK TWICE DUDE!!

Not liking cannabis will make you look like bigger idiots.

But they'll feel cooler saying it with a cigarette dangling out of the corner of their mouth, with one eye shut to keep the smoke out.

...The really addictive component in smoke is Ammonia...

Let me spell this out clearly for you: AMMONIA IS NOT ADDICTIVE.

Ammonia does make the nicotine more readily absorbed in the body by creating a freebase version of it much like ammonia creates the freebase version of cocaine called crack. Ammonia itself has ZERO psychotropic effects and therefore it is impossible to become addicted to it.

Quote:...Like crack cocaine, freebase nicotine vaporises and passes rapidly through the lungs into the bloodstream. Because it reaches the brain so quickly it is thought to be more addictive than normal nicotine...

...During smoking, only the freebase form can volatise from a particle into the air in the respiratory tract. Since scientists have shown that a drug becomes more addictive when it is delivered to the brain more rapidly, freebase nicotine levels in cigarette smoke thus are at the heart of the controversy regarding the tobacco industry's use of additives like ammonia... on its own, nicotine would not be very potent in the body but ammonia strips away protons from surrounding molecules including nicotine, making it more rapidly absorbed...

..."It appears likely that ingredients used in modern cigarette manufacture, such as ammonia and urea, account for this addiction-enhancing effect."...
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnew...ooked.html

In summary: Nicotine is addictive and the addition of ammonia just enhances the addictive qualities of it.

As for smoking (tobacco or cannabis) it must be pretty obvious that inhaling glowing embers of burning vegetable material cannot be very good for your respiratory system. Apart from that, nicotine and THC are actually fairly safe and harmless substances to ingest in moderation.

Trump Supporter ! Jptdknpa

As far as the Ammonia story , came from My Mother in Law . She was a Waitress back in that day .

Never said Ammonia has any effect on Nicotine . Simply that it is a component of the Curing Spray in Tobacco manufacture here in the States . I can not recall the numbers . Natural Air and Flue Cured Tobacco has a little Ammonia and carries over in the smoke . Commercially Fire Flue Cured Tobacco has magnitudes more .

Anyone know where I can get a hand of leaf , reasonably priced ?

( Trump Supporter . . . . . lololol )

gmorning RE: Nicotine-is-an-Anti-inflammatory-Cure-for-H1N1
A last little bit for those interested :

Addicted to Ammonia?

> Recently, it has come to my attention that I and team “Disciples of Strength” may have possibly developed an addiction to ammonia caps. I don’t really agree with this, but it may be possible. I prefer to believe that we just have a great appreciation for them.

The ammonia cap is one of the great inventions of our time. It has many extraordinary uses, and I think many more will be discovered in the future. Maybe people are just unaware of all of these great uses. So in order to increase the popularity and spread the great joy of the ammonia cap, I’ve decided to make a list of some of its uses.

Great way to start the day: Coffee and energy drinks are mere child’s play compared to waking up, rolling over, and cracking some ammonia. Now that’s a GOOD MORNING!

Clear out those pesky sinuses: Forget about all that over the counter crap at your local drug store. Crack some ammonia and feel those sinuses clear right up so you can breathe again.

Perfume: I always hear wives and girlfriends of lifters complaining about all of the time that their significant others spend at the gym. Ladies, try putting a little ammonia on your neck and chest. Your man will be all over you. He won’t be able to resist the animalistic urges coming from deep within his brain. You will probably have to beat him off of you. <
