The nuclear we have now is definitely not clean.

It's the cleanest tech out there, save for hydro, but not every nation has that option.

You mean clean from fossil fuel chemicals.

But it isn't clean from nuclear waste products.

Wind power generates 140% of Denmark's electricity demand

Quote:So much power was produced by Denmark’s windfarms on Thursday that the country was able to meet its domestic electricity demand and export power to Norway, Germany and Sweden.

On an unusually windy day, Denmark found itself producing 116% of its national electricity needs from wind turbines yesterday evening. By 3am on Friday, when electricity demand dropped, that figure had risen to 140%.

Interconnectors allowed 80% of the power surplus to be shared equally between Germany and Norway, which can store it in hydropower systems for use later. Sweden took the remaining fifth of excess power.

https://www.theguardian.com/environment/...ity-demand

They should store IT ALL in hydropower systems before they use any of it.

You lose some to line loss; you lose some to friction(in the pumps-turbines)

But you $ave in medical co$t$

This has to stop

You have multiple threads pinned and multiple threads on the top....

You are not that interesting

you threads are not that educational

if the mods are not going to admit they have socks....that is fine....

I will find a way to make you wish you had not done this
I imagine AC's feelings of guilt are overwhelming right now... lol

Another option is to use the dirty wind energy to power motors that turn generator turbines.

You'd need field separation including distance and/or insulation however in order not to induce the transients right back in.

Renewable energy is currently shaking up the power sector. All over the world, countries are running days, if not weeks or months, solely on solar, wind, or hydroelectric power. Governments are betting big on renewables, creating large offshore wind turbines or solar farms.

Add to this the continued record lows on solar PV prices major companies are setting. In a tender for a large solar park in Abu Dhabi, solar module manufacturing giant JinkoSolar bid what is currently the world’s lowest price for solar power: $24.20/MWh. The previous record holder for lowest bid was a bid in Chile, $29/MWh, which was set just this August, and before that, a bid in UAE was at $30/MWh.

Even going that low, JinkoSolar still expects an annual return of 7 percent, so this isn’t just an example of an industry giant giving low bids to squeeze out competition. The other bidders also put out similarly low prices, and according to PV Magazine, the whole industry is showing that it can compete with fossil fuels, with solar prices dropping over 80 percent in the last five years alone.

Those so called wind farms on the oceans are failing already.
Bad designs they cannot take mother natures abuse.
When they start failing within the year as in collapsing underneath the waves your title will be moot.

Oh...That hydro electric program needs rain to work..
We are back in a drought situation.
No water means no power generation.
Those solar panels are far more toxic than we told.
Bad for the environment...Ask the tortoises.

Just want to inform you of the facts of the matter.
