I guess you're avoiding most all traditional American trade names then also?

I actually have been avoiding all that crap. I am buying German tools now.

L79 327 was no joke!

The L79 was found in the corvette 1965 - 67 I think..

From the factory, it would smoke an LS 454 up to about 80mph, but Big Block torque would catch up with itafterwards

As far as small block Chevys, the Chevy 302 in the 69' Z28 is only SB that topped it in torque, the LT1 350 owned the SB horsepower title. (factory engines)

Look it up.

"Blown out bottom end" = #2 main cap failure, and entire crankshaft became unstable. In so doing, the remaining crank journals were also damaged.

I didn't mention my failure to "beef " things up, prior to such a mission. A fifteen year old boy doesn't consider these things until after he learns better.

Yes, increasing CFM induction, and adding boost pressure to an otherwise stock engine is asking for problems. Adding a proper configured valve train, proper exhaust system, notching and adding o- rings to the block deck, reconfiguring ignition timing, and with this engine, getting rid of the flat top pistons, and dropping compression rations, would all have been beneficial.

And understanding more about overcoming manifold vacuum at idle speeds would have helped also. The boost pressures should have come up slowly, while matching fuel delivery, and mechanical timing advance should have been matching the load and engine RPM, but it wasn't...

If not different pistons, at least some open chamber heads...

...and all will agree,

But...

Chinese parts are getting better and better..

I don`t think people like slave made things. Cursed effing items.

Maybe not,

But here in America, we have no issues with products made by illegals from other countries, while corporations profit greatly by paying these people peanuts, and offering no benefits.

One poison, or the other. Which do you prefer?

RE: I Don't Own Anything Made In China
For all the smart people that want to buy high quality goods ,go on ebay. They have a large selection of vintage.Japanese electronics.I only own old school gaming systems made in usa, japan and Taiwan.Citizen watches made in japan as well as a few breitlings.

If you are planning on buying a car only buy toyota and honda as they are built to last I currently have a 2005 acura rl and a 2002 acura nsx both built in japan. No issues whatsoever and both have high mileage.
