Laurel. Absolutely. Not even close to 'Yanny'.

If you are older, it's harder to hear higher frequencies. Therefore, if you are older, you may have less chances of hearing Laurel. Jhikpghf

I"m 60. I hear 'Laurel'.
So .. how old is 'older'??? chuckle

RE: What do yo hear? 'Yanny' or 'Laurel'
Quote:"Kevin Cureghian, a Los Angeles-based audio engineer, attributes it to the difference in speakers."

"Any speaker that can replicate enough 'low end' or 'bass' — you will most likely hear Laurel. But any speaker that doesn't reproduce lots of low end (smaller size speakers in general) you will most probably hear Yanny."

Cureghian tested this theory by putting a low pass filter into his audio software program on the file. With the low pass filter, he heard Laurel, but when he adjusted it with a high pass filter, to add in the high frequencies, "you will hear Yanny. I guarantee it."

Nothing mysterious about it at all. It says both. What you hear depends on your own hearing, if you hear low range better you will hear Laurel, if you hear high range sounds better, you will hear Yanny.

Bump

Mystery solved. Now we all just entertain ourselves with the implications of what we hear or don't hear.

RE: What do yo hear? 'Yanny' or 'Laurel'
When I first heard this all I could hear was Yanny. After a while my ears finally heard Laurel, and now I can't go back to hearing Yanny like how I trained myself to hear Laurel.....so it is Laurel and now Yanny is dead. We killed Yanny. Tissue

Runnin' from me.
