i always set browsers to not remember history

That's your choice, but I need some of it. The thing is it refuses to remember the things I want it to! The BS is there.

Save your porn site links in a file - then it won't matter that Firefox doesn't remember them.

Windows\Me IE6.0 contains the links to my favs. Opera has incorporated My Favs, so no problem there. Firefox will not, no links saved at all. I like Win\Me best because it's user friendly, friendlier than Opera and Firefox. It's just better, but doesn't open a lot of links I used to get with dial-up, so Opera for that.

I clear history with both CCleaner and IEClean, often, while browsing and shutdown.

Dump Firefox - they've turned it to sh*t. Get Pale Moon - it's a Firefox fork without all the crap that Firefox has added. A lot of the old add-ons work on it and if you add the 'Moon Tester Tool' as an add-on, you can use some newer add-ons that only work in newer versions of Firefox.

RE: Firefox refuses to remember some history
I've been using Firefox for a long time now, recently had problems watching HBO online. It kept repeating audio while the video froze. Took 90 mins to watch a 50 mins episode of WestWorld. Also Skype was awful, audio and video problems. I did all the stuff recommended and nada. Tried using Safari (I have a macbook pro) and viola, no problems at all! Also could not watch an FX stuff online due to various problems. Will give that a check next.

It also refuses to bookmark it! I click and nothing happens...

Mine is doing that too....I book mark things, then go back for them, and they're not there. Sometimes I can search them up again, but that's not the purpose of being supposedly able to bookmark pages.

Oh well, maybe it'll heal overnight.

RE: Firefox refuses to remember some history
Removed and installed again. Now it works, but I guess the reason could be an add-on that allows reader view everywhere. I had backup of my settings without that add-on. Restored it and no probs for now.
