RE: need auto mechanic help...question
obd2 code reader to retrieve error codes when the service engine lite comes on, about 50 bucks.

using a cell phone to search for the error code online to see what is is for.

Most cars have computers which tell you the problem though a code, you just need to retrieve that code to find out what is the problem.

Other than a tire wheel problem, you wont be able to fix much, so a adjustable wrench, pliers, hammer, bit set for a screw driver, flat, phillips, torx, and a flash light and a portable battery booster all placed in a small tool box for storage, maybe some road flares or triangles also.

Anything else, call triple A, and have it towed home or the shop.

I keep a blanket and rags, gloves, and extra work clothes also in the back, should you need to get on the ground and get dirty to check it out.

hope this helps.
