The point I wanted to get to was that most diseases may be variously connected because of the complexity of causality in medicine. Jhikpghf

Also, what I meant to say is: the more you identify connexions between diseases, the more you improve your understanding of causality, which may sometimes lead to better treatments.

For example, scientists discovered that some cancers are connected to weak immune systems, just like in HIV/AIDS, so they got the idea that cancer immunotherapy drugs might be used to help treat and cure HIV/AIDS.

I remember reading somewhere that lack of intelligence leads to violence. If I recall, it was because people with low intelligence get frustrated much easier which angers them into violence.

Violence is the lowest form of human behavior. I wonder if it could be considered a form of psychosis. Mix low IQ with hearing disorder, you would probably have a whopper?

Maybe hearing disorders mess with people so they may often have to inject their own words into what someone is saying to them to try to make sense of it. This could also most likely lead to psychosis of some kind?

Without resorting to studies and all, it seems to me inadequate intellectual abilities to deal with what is before a person, the temptation to resort to violence to attain what a person wants. I know people not so bright who operate that way. As in, 'Well I ain't talkin' no more, I'm gonna kick your ass, then we'll do it my way'.

For sure I tend to think of people who become physically threatening over small things as being very low IQ.

People who are extremely angry and frustrated, and swinging their fists and throwing things around while shouting things may be classified as psychotic.

I can tell you from experience that hearing difficulties are frustrating, and bring stress and tension into a person they may not realize. Always straining to hear what someone has to say, annoying them by asking them to repeat things frequently, all add to frustration.

Hearing aids are such a blessing in those cases. I fought a hearing loss from standing next to large naval guns during Vietnam. My losses were mostly high frequency, so a lot of the time I couldn't hear my wife. She thought I was ignoring her. You can imagine what happened then.

There's a tendency to not want hearing aids, but these new ones are really great. I finally broke down and got some. They're blue toothed into my phone too. So that's really cool.

Hearing loss is definitely a source of frustration, and frustration alone, is annoying, annoyances lead to, and on and on. It's all connected in some way. Anything we can go to make things easier for ourselves is really helpful. I don't wear mine all the time, like now, I'm here alone, so I've taken them out for now.

Blessings!!

I think we should drop that issue, and go on to have an interesting discussion about Vitamin D.

A woman friend has issues with anemia, and I'm noticing Vitamin D may play a role in anemia too. Too few red oxygen carrying blood cells.

Since the majority of illnesses have multiple possible causes, the point of my thread wasn't to identify a definitive cause of every specific disease such as anemia, but rather, the point I wanted to get to was that most diseases may be variously connected because of the complexity of causality in medicine. Jhikpghf

Or as my family doctor once said, ''everything is connected to everything''. Jhikpghf

Now we're talking!!! Cool!!!

I was noticing in reading about Vitamin D, that it may play a role in cancer too. Fish oil seems to be a good source of Vitamin D too. Or whole fish, skin and all.

Your doc, I think, is right.

See, Canadians don't get as much sunlight as Mexicans or Africans, which is why Canadians are more at risk of developing Alzheimer's and Multiple sclerosis, because both diseases are connected to a vitamin D deficiency. Jhikpghf
