RE: The Truth About Cultural Appropriation
The TRUTH is it's a stupid catch phrase invented by idiots who don't want to understand that everyone around the world 'appropriates' everyone elses culture and traditions.

Anyone eaten ice cream? Spaghetti? Wear clothes? Celebrate Halloween? etc All 'appropriated' from elsewhere.

"Cultural Appropriation' ... pffft ... that's a stupid complaint.

"They notice that you notice" - Mothman Prophecies doomed

A tradition cannot make an historical claim and then refuse to have it evaluated by history

Well said.

RE: The Truth About Cultural Appropriation
There are probably at least a billion Chinese that don't give a damn that a white girl wore a traditional Chinese dress.

The only people triggered by this are white leftists.

As for the other examples like the religious wear, I think it looks excessive and garish but other than that I don't particularly care.

Why don't the leftists get triggered when Asians wear suits and ties?

I'm going to go look and see if I can find a youtuber interviewing Asians about the girl in the dress and their thoughts about it.

Wtf do clothes have to do with culture.

I claim the missionary position for heteros. Better not catch any queers misappropriating.

Can I also claim hotdogs? No hotdogs for you! Or who gets hotdogs? Do the Polish get to claim it under sausage?

^^^ I agree with him. If you wear something just because you think it looks nice, that's not appropriation. That's called "freedom".

If I do it it's cultural appropriation and bad, but if you do it it's multiculturalism and good, or so I've been lead to believe. I'm not easily lead FWIW. S226
